Putting them towards your league's lucky cat is a good choice. Stamina if you're desperate, but honestly it's a bad return. Otherwise no.

You could use it on the shop if you need to aim for someone specific, especially seeing as how there's no decent way to farm 2star girls other than gacha or diamonds in shop. Though I think premium gacha will give you a ton more shards for rerolling a girl you've already unlocked but there's still the possibility you may end up getting exp books instead.

no, portraits do not change.

3star girls (Khalis, Claire and Isabel) have a feature where you can set their portrait to nude I think, not that I think anyone has unlocked it yet as it requires maxing out rank (7stars). Been wondering about it myself, mostly just if it's still animated or not.
