Did you read the announcement? The game is undergoing maintenance. When it's done, you'll be able to get in.

Someone should tell those chuckleducks that it's impossible to exit the friend-gift screen without shutting down the game, for me at least

Well that problem already occured before the announcement said the game is undergoing maintenance

Resist is for effects that can stun/freeze, block is just blocking dmg..
