Two part question what are shard of scarlet flame and how do I use it? Trying to use it on my level 50 event character Ortylia. Hope I didn't waste pumpkin coins misunderstanding what they do.

They are wildcard shards for girls of a particular element. For example: If Ortylia needs 100 shards to rank up and you have 75 of her's and 25 scarlet flame a yellow exclamation will appear on her to show the scarlet flames can be used.
