If you mean, by using the Random upgrade option: don't do it. The chance that you'll get a different FOX out of it is very small, it will most probably loose its FOX status..
The best thing to do with FOX items of a type you don't plan to use: keep them, and level them up when you have nothing else to level. Eventually, this will allow you to make dedicated equipment sets, like, Raven for PvP, Ghost for Raid, Gothicblood for Campaign, or something like that, and get their options to match their dedication.
