So like Kancolle and Kanpani? Looks like I'll have to pass then. I want another game that isn't a card battle game or an auto-combat game. D: I want to see more games like Aigis.

Don't know if there's a upgrade mechanic with the same girls, I didn't check. Don't know if two girls can be in the same squad either.

Upgrading with the same girl opens new battle tactics. There's also a trainer girl that does this too though.
Not that the battle system seems terribly complicated anyway.

You can't put 2 of the same girl in the same team. The second can be used while the first is healing in the infirmary though.
