The Cake Me Up event premiered on Jan 20th and ran for 2 weeks (and 16h). The event was in celebration of 3 million players, and introduced a new feature to the shop: Classic Events. This event includes outfits for all girls along with Mena being the 2nd event she is officially in. Additionally, the outfits have the usual 70% VS bonus.
Normally you must earn 100 cakes (or spend 40 diamonds) to unlock an outfit for one of the girls. However, this event has slashed the cake requirement and diamond cost by 50%. You only need 50 cakes or spend 20 diamonds for an outfit, and it remains until the end of the event. You earn cakes by filming Gemma in her fellatio animation.
You have three choices for how long you want to film Gemma:
- If you choose to film for 2 hours, then you will have a chance between earning 1 and 4 cakes, but 0 time skips and 0 diamonds.
- If you choose to film for 6 hours, then you will have a chance between earning 4 and 9 cakes, a time skip between 20 and 60 minutes, and you may earn a diamond.
- If you choose to film for 12 hours, then you will have a chance between earning 6 and 15 cakes, a time skip between 60 and 180 minutes, and between 0 and 3 diamonds.
So here is the reality: You will not be able to unlock all costumes during this event from playing it naturally. You need 50 (could go back to 100) cakes per girl, and your perfect case scenario for filming for 2 hours, 6 hours, and 12 hours will be 435, 522, and 700 cakes for the entire 2 weeks and 16 hours (not accounting for diamond spending).
Depending on how often you are available to play this game will determine which of the 3 filming options you will be using. In theory, you can gain more cakes using the 2h option, but chances are you won't be available to film that often. You can also end up averaging out cakes to a similar number compared to 12h runs. 12h filming sessions offer the most rewards, but it is the slowest rate of earning cakes Theoretically, the diamonds you gain from the 12h sessions can end up making up for the lost cakes in the form of being able to meet the diamond cost of purchasing an outfit. The time skips gained from the longer filming sessions can really help speed up the other parts of the game (and they have an expiration of 2 months). Time skips do not speed up the filming times for this event. You can however, invest the diamonds you earn from this event into speeding up the 12h filming sessions. The longer you can film without losing time, the better, but ultimately you must pick the filming sessions that you can waste the least amount of time into starting up another filming session. For example, you don't want to run a 2h session when you're sleeping because you'll be wasting a lot of time starting another session. Plan your filming according to your personal scheduling.
Important note: Once you have enough cakes to unlock an outfit make sure the girl you want it for is currently displayed in the background. When you redeem the cakes it does NOT allow you to choose which girl it goes to, and will by default go to the girl that is currently displayed in the background.
