Firestorm's appearance is based on Scorpion's MK11 incarnation. He has the same hairstyle but red, and his armor has the same yellow color but just with red highlights, not black. He can also fire and is expert on sharp darts. Firestorm's story is based on Scorpion's first backstory, having his clan killed and now hunting the responsible ones. But unlike Scorpion who initially thought that the murderer is Sub-Zero, Firestorm however immediately knew that the one who caused it is a sorcerer, referencing Quan Chi, the true mastermind.
