Rather than mainly menacing black color scheme, Grim's color is mainly red. Grim's face is based on Reaper's appearance as Soldier: 24, before his face got burned, but since Reaper is now in his 60s and that pre-Reaper look is him in his twenties, Grim's face has been adjusted to make him older, now having white hair and facial hair. His body having tattoos and multiple scars are likely an original addition to him. Both are former decorated soldiers and one of the founders of their organization and eventually, got turned into an experimental material turning them into masked villains. Grim being unable to orgasm anymore is based on Reaper's body simultaneously decaying and regenerating which gives him pain. Though while Reaper then joined a terrorist organization, Talon, Grim however seems to be moving solo, and it's during his sole voyage he can finally meet the MC. As his parody is Reaper, his parody is named Grim, for Grim Reaper reference.
