About: Vernon has been teaching at the magic academy for years and isn't the kind to allow students to daydream in class. If he notices someone losing concentration, he calls them to his office straight away to find a way to keep them on the right track. And if the student needs to go under the desk to get a good grade, then so be it. Hard, but just?!
Loving Vernon has a similar hairstyle to Auron's, just his hair is brown instead of black with gray streaks, and he wears glasses, just not sunglasses. Vernon's affection scenes seem to relate more to Final Fantasy VIII Balamb Garden (a game Auron wasn't in) with it's school appearance. Auron is considered to be a mentor though, maybe the reason for Vernon to take on a teaching position.
