Gary wears a kimono, like Nico Robin during the events of Wano Country Arc, though his is an original one, and not similar at all. The visuals on his poses are references on Robin's flowery effect when using her power. Gary also references Robin's other techniques such as Giganteum, that summons a giant arm, and lastly, the ability to manifest a wing, which is one of Robin's most iconic power. The theme being nostalgic is because it not just involves himself with the MC, but also Alban, the MC's first rival.
