Setsuna's hair is trimmed shorter then Hayate's hair and is black instead of brown. Clothing wise he has an added scarf, no gloves, a completely different pallet in coloring relying mostly on blacks and browns, and a lack of swords. Also a parody character of Zack from the same franchise shows up in one of his affection scenes.
