-Anfisa Sokolova-1-Tantric Sex Master & Aikido Champion- - XZ - Name Meaning

Zodiac Sign Taurus -- See below

Anfisa Sokolov was born the middle child and only daughter to a Moscow Russian family of seven. The name Anfisa is Russian [and Greek] for 'flower' and Anfisa was certainly the 'flower' of her father's eye. The name Sokolov in Russian means falcon or hawk which seemed to fit her family's attitude towards sports. They liked to fly high above their competition and were fearless. The entire family was remarkably fit and athletic and took their sports as well as their classes very seriously. Her two older brothers, Vladimir [meaning Renowned prince (Slavic)], Dmitry [meaning Earth-lover (Greek)] and her two younger brothers Aleksandr [meaning Defender (Greek)] and Nikita [meaning Unconquerable (Slavic/Greek)] kept Anfisa on her toes because not only were her brothers academically gifted but they all loved and were talented in sports. Anfisa worked hard to excel in everything she did and didn't like accepting anything less just because she was a girl. She would never chose an easy path and wanted to do everything better than her brothers. Her father Yevgeny [meaning Noble (Greek)] owned a small but profitable business that manufactured cold-weather solar panels and all Anfisa had to do was sit in his lap and use her little-girl voice and he would give her anything she desired. Her mother Sofia [meaning Wisdom (Greek)] was an office manager in the office of one of the Deputy Mayors of Moscow. Anfisa's family was by no means the richest in Moscow, but they weren't poor either. Anfisa's family had a fine home and they sent their children to first rate schools. However, at age 13 Anfisa was not satisfied with her school's sports [running, swimming, skiing, and gymnastics] and had a quiet meeting with her father. It was only because Anfisa was in the top 10% of her class academically that her father even considered outside sports. If not for her excellent grades, Anfisa would be getting academic classes and not sports class, but before long Anfisa was set up in two after school programs. She began to learn Ashtanga Yoga three days a week at the PRANA Yoga Centre which was not far from their home. Ashtanga Yoga is extremely demanding physical yoga of not just static positions, but a series of positions with specific movements between these positions all the while maintaining breathe control, sense withdraw, posture, and concentration. In addition there was Yama (moral codes), Niyama (self-discipline), Dhyana (meditation), and Samadhi (oneness with the self). This would keep her mind calm and her body flexible and strong but she also needed combat to give her the sensation of victory. Her eldest brother, a gifted boxer and weightlifter, Vladimir suggested she go with him to the Boxing Academy on Luzhniki Street as she could get her ride to classes with him. This prestigious school had a strong reputation in boxing, kickboxing, cross fit training, weightlifting and TRX - Total Resistance Exercise which was based on using your own body weight as your resistance and is often called “suspension training.” They went two days a week as well as almost all Saturday and Sunday taking a variety of classes.
After observing Vladimir's boxing competitions where he often placed in the top three and even won the championship on occasion, Anfisa couldn't wait until she was allowed to compete in combat. The Boxing Academy arranged many competitions throughout the year with other schools in Moscow and even beyond. At 15 years old Anfisa entered and won second place in the Boxing Academy's Kickboxing Tournament. Anfisa became so horny after winning that she spent a long time masturbating and wishing she had time for a steady boyfriend. The sexual excitement only grew with each competition and the need for her to win was her substitution for sexual gratification. I can tell you the other girls didn't stand a chance against Anfisa, especially if they had regular sex with a steady boyfriend, because Anfisa's athletic power was supplemented by her sexual drive and she became unbeatable. It was true that Anfisa’s Ashtanga Yoga really gave her a leg up on breath control and posture when she was fighting. The physical demands of her Ashtanga Yoga only added to her athletic fitness. Her combat finally got to the point where she would bring a baggy pair of dark shorts to wear on top of her sports outfit so no one could see the wet spot between her legs. Anfisa soon began winning first place in all her competitions and her coaches began talking to her about representing Russia at the next Olympics.
Upon graduation from the 11th grade at 17 years old, Anfisa could either enter a technical school or go to college. It didn't take long for her to convince her father that she really enjoyed teaching but didn't need a college degree because she wanted to become a certified yoga instructor and then go on to take specialized advanced classes. Secretly Anfisa knew it was only her Ashtanga Yoga that kept her from going crazy with sexual desire between her combat competitions and that was the reason behind her devotion to Ashtanga Yoga. Yevgeny realized that she had been quite dedicated to her Ashtanga Yoga and he surreptitiously was glad that she didn't want to pursue her championship boxing or kickboxing careers in the Olympics. She had won almost as many championship matches as all her brothers combined and her instructors persistently tried to persuade Anfisa to consider going to the next Olympics. Little did Yevgeny know that one of her instructors at the PRANA Yoga Centre, Anna Yang, had convinced Anfisa that for combat she needed to learn Aikido and Yang had written Anfisa a letter of recommendation to the Aikido Academy, in Tokyo, Japan. Anfisa had only told her father about the 500 hours 60 day Level 1 & 2 Yoga Teacher Training at the world famous Rishikesh School of Yoga & Ayurveda Sansthan in Rishikesh, India [Northern India, in Uttarakhand Province, on the Ganges River, at the Himalayan foothills]. Although her father hated to see her go, he only thought it would be for two months. He would learn otherwise later. Arrangements were made for Anfisa's passport and travel papers to India and her father gave her more than enough money to support herself.
Anfisa's experiences in India could only be described as mind-expanding as her knowledge and practice of yoga increased exponentially. However, Anfisa missed combat which was kind of looked down upon by the instructors at the school. Fortunately for Anfisa there was a high school down the road and on her off time she would walk down there and meet with the boys. One was foolish enough to try to take advantage of her but she quickly put him down with her boxing and kickboxing skills. Immediately all the boys wanted her to teach them fighting. She agreed but only if they could keep it a secret. In fact, she wore a mask and a sweatshirt with a hood to cover her face and hair which she had tied back in a tight bun at the back of her neck. It wouldn't do if anyone knew she was a girl who was teaching boxing and kickboxing as combat was not very socially acceptable in the city of Rishikesh. Anfisa had found an outlet for her combat needs and as their teacher it was no shame for them to be beaten by her.
Soon Anfisa was a world certified Yoga Instructor with a Yoga Alliance Accredited certificate and while in India had learned about Tantric Yoga. She had to give Yevgeny a very convincing argument in order for him to accept that she now planned on going to Thailand for advanced training at the Shri Kali Ashram on Koh Phangan Island. Although the Thailand location was new, the Shri Kali Ashram had been teaching Shaiva-Shakta Tantra philosophies in India for over 40 years and just moved their instructors and their original Sanskrit tests to Thailand. She told her father not only would she be getting very advanced teaching master's certification in Shaiva-Shakta Tantra and she would be learning Sanskrit. What finally convinced Yevgeny was that Anfisa was receiving a 70% scholarship. Anfisa didn't tell her father that Shri Kali Ashram was greatly over-priced and paying only 30% was still enough to cover all the school's expenses or did she mention that all the pretty girls got 70% scholarships. These discounts for the women at Shri Kali Ashram didn't hurt the school as there were plenty of young and middle aged man more than happy to pay the 100% price because of their reputation for having young women students. Yevgeny then believed that this was not just some scam for money. After a little research on his own, Yevgeny learned that this Shri Kali Ashram was considered a very traditional school with deep recommendations. Little did he know about the use of sexual techniques as part of the total Shaiva-Shakta Tantra Yoga training. Anfisa studied Shaiva-Shakta Tantra Yoga and Sexual Techniques for another year and a half. Anfisa was now 19 years old with a valid passport, several teaching certificates and a Master's. Anfisa informed her father that she was now moving to Tokyo, Japan where she accepted a teaching position at the Under the Light Yoga School. Anfisa told Yevgeny that she was getting to like international travel and really looked forward to teaching yoga in Japan for a year or two. Of course with her background and her certificates, she could have gotten a teaching in any school she chose, but she chose Under the Light Yoga School because it was near the Aikido Academy nor did she tell him about her desire to learn Aikido. She didn't want him to worry about her. Anfisa soon mastered Aikido. After all, with her background in boxing, kickboxing, and her superbly lean and strong body from years of practicing yoga, her mastery of breathing control, posture, and concentration it was easy for her to add this new skill to her arsenal. Anfisa was coming out of a national Aikido competition where she had won her division when she met Alice Carott. To say the least, Bunny made a big impression on Anfisa and she immediately agreed to join Bunny in a journey to the Haremverse to begin a new life were she planned on combining her Master Tantra Sexual Skills with her Aikido Skills and create 'Nympho-Aikido'. After all, it combined the two things she dearly loved – sex and combat.

How does her Zodiac sign - Taurus - affect Anfisa's life? As a Taurus her traits are being "logical, practical [not given to rash or impetuous choices which includes falling in love], kind, caring, sensitive and sweet [unless you cross her then her anger is as hot as a bull], while showing determination, self-reliance, and perseverance [continued effort to do or achieve something despite difficulties, failure, or opposition] but she is slightly hedonistic and materialistic." I can see a lot of that in Anfisa's story. She didn't fall in love at a young age ("not given to rash or impetuous choices which include falling in love") and seemed to concentrate on her dream of becoming a yoga instructor. "Her characteristics make her stable, loyal, and reliable, and everything she does, she infuses with great purpose and does it well."- That line not only applies to her pursuit of yoga but also her pursuit of sports. She certainly showed "determination, self-reliance, and perseverance" in her pursuit of her boxing and kickboxing championships. Her pursuit of education abroad shows "She can handle enormous amounts of stress without showing it. She chooses not to seek mercy, and instead relies on her freedom and determination to deal with a difficult situation." This is shown by her being able to move away from home at a young age and live in foreign countries with different languages - Indian, Thai, and Japanese - without the support of her family. She was certainly 'logical and practical' by not telling her father about the sexual side of her advanced studies in Thailand or the fact that she really went to Japan to learn Aikido. Next we have: "The Taurus woman has a deeply alluring, earthy sensuality and regards sex as one of the greatest art forms. She loves lots of foreplay, cuddling, mutual massage, and long, languorous hours of touch - no quickies." This Taurus characteristic clearly shows how she was a natural to become a Master of Tantra Sexual Skills which demanded slow and deliberate sexual contact that was encouraged to last for a long period of time – often 20 minutes or more. Finally there is the Taurus trait of: "There’s a quiet capability about the Taurean woman – never afraid to roll up her sleeves and do the work, she can surprise you with her physical and emotional strength and resilience [capacity to recover quickly]." I believe it is this Taurus trait that allowed her to make the decision to go with Bunny, although it was un-Taurus-like to make a quick decision, I believe Anfisa realized that the Haremverse was there for her but she had to act unnaturally quickly or the opportunity would pass. I for one am glad that she followed Alice Carott.

How does this "Name Meaning" fit in with the Hentai Heroes story? OK, the first picture of Anfisa [Diamond 1] we learn that there are no variants to the Anfisa character. So far in the game, she is the only Anfisa. In the Diamond 1 image see a fully clothed young, very long blond haired girl giving a waist high kick right at you. She has a narrow blue headband that goes behind her ears and over her head to hold back most of her thick, long, blond hair. Anfisa is wearing a short pleated red dress that has a single white stripe at the bottom edge of the dress. She wears knee high white socks that have two blue stripes at the top of the sock and has matching red sandals with red bows. Her top is a matching red, long sleeved [Japanese?] sailor style tunic where the sleeves end in wide white cuffs that has a single blue stripe. Her sailor tunic has a wide white collar again with a single blue stripe and although it can't clearly be seen, I suspect that she has a matching blue sailor scarf tie under her collar that could be seen on her chest as would be typical for a Japanese school uniform. You can clearly see she is wearing purple underwear that seems to match a very large and wide purple ribbon bow at the back of her head. To the right of her image are her statistics which lists that she is a blond haired, purple eyed, Taurus, and Tantric Sex Master. Now the name 'Anfisa' could be Greek [or Russian], but there are very few blond Greeks, so it was natural to think that she was a northwestern Russian where blond hair is common. As for the kick itself, well traditional Aikido really doesn't use kicks as it would interfere with their balance and balance is the key in Aikido. This kind of kick would be normal in kickboxing and so the story I created that Anfisa came originally from northwestern Russia and studied kickboxing is supported by this Diamond 1 [first] image of Anfisa. It is also in this Diamond 1 image of Anfisa that we learn that she is a 'Tantric Sex Master'. Where did she learn to be a Tantric Sex Master? [See the very bottom of this article to learn about Tantric Sex Yoga] Well a character like Anfisa would only want the best - after all she is a Taurus - and that means after her basic training in yoga in Moscow going to India to learn advanced yoga prior to learning about Tantric Sex Yoga. You just don't walk into a Tantric Sex Yoga school without first being a master of yoga. It just happened that the world famous Shri Kali Ashram recently moved from India to Thailand so it would make sense again for Anfisa to go to Thailand for her Tantric Sex Yoga training.
Now let us look at Anfisa's Star picture [Star 1] where we see our hero on his back and Anfisa is in reverse cowgirl position [this is not the 'Great Bee' Tantric Sex position (see position #5 below) - I think the artist made a mistake and should have used the 'Great Bee' position as it would fit into the story better seeing how Anfisa is a Tantric Sex Master and position #5 is similar to the reverse cowgirl position]. From this picture we can appreciate Anfisa's well trained yoga body with her firm butt and perky but large breasts and again we see that she is a very long haired blond young woman. It is when Anfisa speaks to our hero that we learn about Aikido when Anfisa says: 'Ha-ha-ha! Once again I'm the winner! I remain the undefeated master of nympho-aikido! And now for my prize...' and it seems that combat is her fetish because it makes her horny and of course her prize is our hero's sexual skills. My 'Name Meaning' story gives background to the 'combat fetish' and makes it plausible and this idea of a combat fetish is supported by the Star 1 picture. The background of the Star 1 picture shows a rice paper sliding door which would be common in a Japanese Aikido dojo. The story I made in "Name Meaning" fits all the facts of Anfisa's Star 1 picture including the fetish of combat which I created in her story. Anfisa's obvious pride at being the undefeated champion of 'Nympho-Aikido' fits with her being a member of the Sokolov family [meaning Falcon or Hawk] and her family background in sports championships. Next we have Anfisa’s Diamond 2 image that again lists the same statistics as seen in the Diamond 1 image except this time in the image of Anfisa she is completely naked EXCEPT for that large, wide purple ribbon bow at the back of her head. We can probably assume that Anfisa loves the color purple, not only because it was the color of her underwear and head ribbon, but because of the large purple dildo in the Diamond 2 image. In this Diamond 2 image we see Anfisa on her toes squatting over the purple dildo and we can assume that she is slowly [Tantric Sex style] inserting the dildo into her vagina. I submit that my created 'Name Meaning' story is a good background story for Anfisa and fits the known facts about her from the Hentai Heroes game.

Aikido Kicking Techniques

https://martialarts.stackexchange.co...ing-techniques

Aikido training does not have kicks. They have of course one-two techniques to avoid and lock kicks, but do not have any. They have strike techniques called "atemi", but did not use kicks in general, and they avoid them.
You will rarely, if ever, find a martial art that truly uses kicks above the knee*, unless that art is centered around kicks. Most art are very concerned about their balance, and use kicks for disruption, not necessarily for damage. Aikido mostly uses the feet and legs for footwork. Kicks would just take time away from footwork.

ASHTANGA YOGA: DEFINITION, PRINCIPLES, PRACTICES & HISTORY

https://www.yogabasics.com/learn/ashtanga-yoga/

What Is Ashtanga Yoga?
The word Ashtanga is comprised of two Sanskrit words, “Ashta” and “Anga.” “Ashta” refers to the number eight, while “Anga” means limb or body part. Therefore, Ashtanga is the union of the eight limbs of yoga, into one complete, holistic system. These eight-limbs of yoga represent the various branches of the philosophy of the yoga sutras that form the foundation in the Ashtanga Yoga School. The Ashtanga philosophy is to integrate all of the eight limbs of yoga, which include: Yama (moral codes), Niyama (self-discipline), Asana (posture), Pranayama (breath control), Pratyahara (sense withdrawal), Dharana (concentration), Dhyana (meditation), and Samadhi (oneness with the self).
Ashtanga is a very dynamic and athletic form of hatha yoga, made up of six series or levels, with a fixed order of postures. It is rooted in vinyasa, the flowing movements between postures, with a focus on energy and breath. While it is a very physical practice, it also promotes mental clarity and inner peace

Classes boxing, kickboxing, crossfit, weightlifting and TRX.
TRX Total Resistance Exercise-TRX is a training system developed by the United States Navy SEALs. Their primary reason for developing TRX training, was because they lacked the space and equipment they needed to keep themselves in an ideal physical shape. Total Resistance Exercise, or TRX, is a training method involving suspension. What this means is that you use your own body weight throughout the whole TRX routine. Some people also refer to it as, “suspension training.” TRX is a type of exercise that’s effective and only uses a low level of impact on the body. That’s why experts recommend it for all ages. Even elderly people can get involved with TRX. It’s always best to ask your doctor for an opinion on your exercise routine before starting it, though.

Shri Kali Ashram - Koh Phangan Island, Thailand

https://www.shrikali.org/location.php
https://www.shrikali.org/
https://www.shrikali.org/tantrayogaschool.php

Our courses build a thorough understanding of all aspects of Shaiva-Shakta Tantra and Yoga.

Everything Shri Kali Ashram offers is the original reading of the science, away from the misreadings of the last few centuries. The information we offer is totally from a Traditional Śaiva Tantric system. This system offers timeless formulae which take into consideration the higher aspects of life.
At Shri Kali Ashram, we do not teach from translations or modern studies. We use the original Sanskrit texts, interpreted through the traditional learning handed down by generations of Tantrics (paramparā). We illustrate the accuracy of interpretation with existing Sanskrit Vedic, Śaiva and Tantric texts. This statement itself will startle many who are only familiar with a reading from Orientalism. Many of us are not aware that the various Śaiva, Vaiṣṇava and Tantra teachings are specific expressions of the Veda (cf. Divine Initiation and Third Eye of the Buddhist).
We teach Sanskrit to allow our students direct access to the ancient texts. Modern translations are often faulty—done by scholars with no real understanding of the material. In addition, many of the most important texts of Tantra have yet to be fully translated i.e. Shiras-cheda or Jayadratha-yāmala by Jayadratha, Tantrāloka, Tantrasāra, Tantra-sat-bhāva, Mahārthamañjuri, Svacchanda-tantra, Siddha-yogeśvarī-mata-tantra, Mālinīvijayottara-tantra, Mālinīvijayavārtika with commentary by Kṣemarāja, Rudra-yāmala-tantra, Netra-tantra, Tantrarāja-tantra, Prapañchasāra-tantra, Tripurā-rahasya (the various commentaries by Aṃrtānanda, Śivānanda, Bhāskararāya, and Jayaratha), Śaktisaṇgama-tantra, Prāṇatoshiṇī-tantra, and the Saundarya-laharī. No single text encompasses the whole of the Tantric science. Thus it is important to learn from a traditional ācārya (teacher) who is well read in the entire science. Sanskrit is also a crucial part of mantra and ritual. Singing a mantra out of context and without understanding is like singing ‘E=mc²’. By just singing ‘E=mc²’, you will not understand quantum physics. Similarly, just singing ‘Om’ leads nowhere! Mantras are to be correctly learned and understood.

KUNDALINI AND TANTRA

https://pranaoftruth.com/kundalini-and-tantra/

Kundalini (Sanskrit: कुण्डलिनी kuṇḍalinī, About this soundpronunciation (help·info), “coiled snake”), in Hinduism is a form of divine feminine energy (or shakti) believed to be located at the base of the spine, in the muladhara.
It is an important concept in Śhaiva Tantra, where it is believed to be a force or power associated with the divine feminine. This energy, when cultivated and awakened through tantric practice, is believed to lead to spiritual liberation. Kuṇḍalinī is associated with Paradevi or Adi Parashakti, the supreme being in Shaktism; and with the goddesses Bhairavi and Kubjika. The term, along with practices associated with it, was adopted into Hatha yoga in the 9th century. It has since then been adopted into other forms of Hinduism as well as modern spirituality and New age thought.

Kuṇḍalinī awakenings have been described as occurring by means of a variety of methods. Many systems of yoga focus on awakening Kuṇḍalinī through: meditation; pranayama breathing; the practice of asana and chanting of mantras. Kundalini Yoga is influenced by Shaktism and Tantra schools of Hinduism. It derives its name from its focus upon the awakening of kundalini energy through regular practice of Mantra, Tantra, Yantra, Asanas or Meditation. The Kuṇḍalinī experience is frequently reported to be a distinct feeling of electric current running along the spine.

Kuṇḍalinī arose as a central concept in Śaiva Tantra, especially among the Śākta cults like the Kaula. In these Tantric traditions, Kuṇḍalinī is “the innate intelligence of embodied Consciousness”. The first possible mention of the term is in the Tantrasadbhāva-tantra (8th century), though other earlier tantras mention the visualization of Śākti in the central channel and the upward movement of prana or vital force (which is often associated with Kuṇḍalinī in later works). According to David Gordon White, this feminine spiritual force is also termed boghavati, which has a double meaning of “enjoyment” and “coiled” and signifies her strong connection to bliss and pleasure, both mundane physical pleasure and the bliss of spiritual liberation (moksha), which is the enjoyment of Shiva’s creative activity and ultimate union with the Goddess.

KUNDALINI AND TANTRA

In the influential Śākta tradition called Kaula, Kuṇḍalinī is seen as a “latent innate spiritual power”, associated with the Goddess Kubjika (lit. “the crooked one”), who is the supreme Goddess (Paradevi). She is also pure bliss and power (Śākti), the source of all mantras, and resides in the six chakras along the central channel. In Śaiva Tantra, various practices like pranayama, bandhas, mantra recitation and tantric ritual were used in order to awaken this spiritual power and create a state of bliss and spiritual liberation

Tantra

Tantra (/ˈtʌntrə, ˈtæn-/; Sanskrit: तन्त्र, literally “loom, weave, system”) denotes the esoteric traditions of Hinduism and Buddhism that co-developed most likely about the middle of the 1st millennium AD. The term tantra, in the Indian traditions, also means any systematic broadly applicable “text, theory, system, method, instrument, technique or practice”.

Starting in the early centuries of common era, newly revealed Tantras centering on Vishnu, Shiva or Shakti emerged. In Buddhism, the Vajrayana tradition is known for its extensive tantra ideas and practices. Tantric Hindu and Buddhist traditions have influenced other Eastern religious traditions such as Jainism, the Tibetan Bön tradition, Daoism and the Japanese Shintō tradition.

Certain modes of non-Vedic worship such as Puja are considered tantric in their conception and rituals. Hindu temple building also generally conforms to the iconography of tantra. Hindu texts describing these topics are called Tantras, Āgamas or Samhitās. In Buddhism, its tantra-genre literature has influenced the artworks in Tibet, historic cave temples of India and imagery in Southeast Asia.

The early Tantric practices in Indian history are sometimes attributed to the Kapalikas (literally, “skull men”, also called Somasiddhatins or Mahavartins). Little, however, is reliably known about them, and there is a paucity of primary sources on Kapalikas. The historical information about them is primarily available from dubious fictional works and the disparaging remarks made about them in the Buddhist, Hindu and Jain texts of the 1st millennium AD.

André Padoux notes that there is no consensus among scholars as to which elements are characteristic for Tantra, nor is there any text that contains all those elements. Also, most of those elements can also be found in non-Tantric traditions. According to Anthony Tribe, a scholar of Buddhist Tantra, Tantra has the following defining features:

Centrality of ritual, especially the worship of deities
Centrality of mantras
Visualisation of and identification with a deity
Need for initiation, esotericism and secrecy
Importance of a teacher (guru, acharya)
Ritual use of mandalas (maṇḍala)
Transgressive or antinomian acts
Revaluation of the body
Revaluation of the status and role of women
Analogical thinking (including microcosmic or macrocosmic correlation)
Revaluation of negative mental states
According to David N. Lorenzen, Tantra practices include the following:

“Shamanic and yogic beliefs and practices;”
“Sakta worship, especially worship of the Matrikas and demon-killing forms of Hindu and Buddhist goddesses;”
“Specific schools of Tantric religion such as the Kapalikas and Kaulas;”
“The Tantric texts themselves.”
A number of techniques (sadhana) are used as aids for meditation and achieving spiritual power:

Dakshina: Donation or gift to one’s teacher
Diksha: Initiation ritual which may include shaktipat
Yoga, including breathing techniques (pranayama) and postures (asana), is employed to balance the energies in the body/mind.
Mudras, or hand gestures
Mantras: reciting syllables, words, and phrases
Singing of hymns of praise (stava)
Mandalas
Yantras: symbolic diagrams of forces at work in the universe
Visualization of deities and Identification with deities
Puja (worship ritual)
Animal sacrifice
Use of taboo substances such as alcohol, cannabis, meat and other entheogens.
Prāyaścitta – an expiation ritual performed if a puja has been performed wrongly
Nyasa
Ritual purification (of idols, of one’s body, etc.)
Guru bhakti (devotion) and puja
Yatra: pilgrimage, processions
Vrata: vows, sometimes to do ascetic practices like fasting
The acquisition and use of siddhis or supernormal powers. Associated with the left hand path tantra.
Ganachakra: A ritual feast during which a sacramental meal is offered.
Ritual Music and Dance.
Maithuna: ritual sexual union (with an actual physical consort).
Dream yoga

The words mantram, tantram and yantram are rooted linguistically and phonologically in ancient Indian traditions. Mantram denotes the chant, or “knowledge.” Tantram denotes philosophy, or ritual actions. Yantram denotes the means by which a person is expected to lead their life.

The mantra and yantra are instruments to invoke higher qualities, often associated with specific Hindu deities such as Shiva, Shakti, or Kali. Similarly, puja may involve focusing on a yantra or mandala associated with a deity.

Each mantra is associated with a specific Nyasa. Nyasa involves touching various parts of the body at specific parts of the mantra, thought to invoke the deity in the body. There are several types of Nyasas; the most important are Kara Nyasa and Anga Nyasa

Hinduism

In Hinduism, the tantric traditions are found in Shaivism’s Shaiva Siddhanta and the Mantrapīṭha (Bhairava-centred), and in Shaktism’s Vidyāpīṭha and the Kulamārga traditions.

The Tantra texts of the Vaishnava tradition are the Pancharatra, and typically called the Agamas in the Vaishnava traditions. The term “Tantra” in Hindu genre of literature is usually used specifically to refer to Shakta Agamas. The Agamas literature is voluminous, and includes 28 Shaiva Agamas, 77 Shakta Agamas (also called Tantras), and 108 Vaishnava Agamas (also called Pancharatra Samhitas), and numerous Upa-Agamas.

Some Tantra texts in Hinduism are Vedic and others non-Vedic. Agama traditions include Yoga and Self Realization concepts, some include Kundalini Yoga, asceticism, and philosophies ranging from Dvaita (dualism) to Advaita (monism).

The means of worship in the Hindu Tantric practice differs from the Vedic form. While the Vedic practice of yajna there are no idols and shrines, in its Tantric traditions, idols and symbolic icons with puja are the means of worship. Temples, symbolism, icons that remind the devotee of attributes and values are a necessary part of the Agamic practice, while non-theistic paths are one of the many alternative means in the Vedic practice. This, however, does not necessarily mean that Tantra-Agamas and Vedas are opposed, according to medieval era Hindu theologians. Tirumular, for example, explained their link as, “the Vedas are the path, and the Agamas are the horse”.

Each Tantra-Agama text consists of four parts:

Jnana pada, also called Vidya pada – consists of doctrine, the philosophical and spiritual knowledge, knowledge of reality and liberation.
Yoga pada – precepts on yoga, the physical and mental discipline.
Kriya pada – consists of rules for rituals, construction of temples (Mandir); design principles for sculpting, carving, and consecration of idols of deities for worship in temples; for different forms of initiations or diksha. This code is analogous to those in Puranas and in the Buddhist text of Sadhanamala.
Charya pada – lays down rules of conduct, of worship (puja), observances of religious rites, rituals, festivals and prayaschittas.
The Tantra-Agama texts of Hinduism present a diverse range of philosophies, ranging from theistic dualism to absolute monism. This diversity of views was acknowledged in Chapter 36 of Tantraloka, the 10th century scholar Abhinavagupta. In Shaivism alone, there are ten dualistic (dvaita) Agama texts, eighteen qualified monism-cum-dualism (bhedabheda) Agama texts, and sixty four monism (advaita) Agama texts. The Bhairava Shastras are monistic Tantra texts, while Shiva Shastras are dualistic.

Budddhism

Many tantric traditions developed within Buddhism, over its history in South Asia and East Asia. These are also called the Vajrayana traditions. The tradition has been particularly prevalent in Tibet and Nepal. The Buddhist Tantric practices and texts, states Jacob Dalton, developed between the 5th and the 7th centuries and this is evidenced by Chinese Buddhist translations of Indian texts from that period preserved in Dunhuang. Ryan Overbey too affirms this, stating that Buddhist Tantric spells and ritual texts were translated by Chinese Buddhist scholars six times and these spells appear in multiple texts between the 5th and 8th centuries.

According to Alexis Sanderson, various classes of Vajrayana literature developed as a result of royal courts sponsoring both Buddhism and Saivism. The Mañjusrimulakalpa, which later came to classified under Kriyatantra, states that mantras taught in the Shaiva, Garuda and Vaishnava tantras will be effective if applied by Buddhists since they were all taught originally by Manjushri. The Guhyasiddhi of Padmavajra, a work associated with the Guhyasamaja tradition, prescribes acting as a Shaiva guru and initiating members into Saiva Siddhanta scriptures and mandalas. The Samvara tantra texts adopted the pitha list from the Shaiva text Tantrasadbhava, introducing a copying error where a deity was mistaken for a place

The Tantric traditions of Hinduism and Buddhism spread rapidly within India and Tibet, and from there to Southeast Asia, East Asia and Central Asia. They significantly influenced many other religious traditions such Jainism, Sikhism, the Tibetan Bön tradition, Daoism, and the Japanese Shintō tradition. In the Sikh literature, the ideas related to Shakti and goddess reverence attributed to Guru Gobind Singh, particularly in the Dasam Granth, are related to tantra ideas found in Buddhism and Hinduism.

The Jain worship methods, states Ellen Gough, were likely influenced by Shaktism ideas, and this is attested by the tantric diagrams of the Rishi-mandala where the Tirthankaras are portrayed. The Tantric traditions within Jainism use verbal spells or mantra, and rituals that are believed to accrue merit for rebirth realms.

The natural world is the haven of the female Taurus personality, and she is happiest when she can look out her windows and see mostly trees. Low light and candles burning create an intimate atmosphere for the seduction of the senses that she so innately understands. The scent of fine incense often lingers in the air, and she may be fond of smudging her rooms regularly with sage or cedar.
Taurus women are excellent nurturers, and often make fantastic cooks – usually of healthy, stick-to-your ribs meals. No child of a Taurus mother will ever go hungry or want for any creature comfort. Warm, snuggly blankets abound on all the beds, and the chairs and sofas may be softened further with fluffy sheepskins. This is a space for mother and child to lounge, cuddle, read stories, sing songs, eat delicious and nourishing porridge, and gaze wonderingly at interesting rocks and lichens.
Touch is important to a Taurus, and she makes a very hands-on parent, always ready with a loving hug or hand to hold. Routine is an important characteristic in a Taurus household, and discipline is followed because it always just makes such perfect sense! Firm, grounded Taurus creates a safe and secure haven for all beings to thrive.
Taurus Woman: Work Life & Money
Something about these women’s traits calls to mind the strong, determined women who went back to the land in the commune movements of the 1960s and ’70s. These hands-on, hardcore hippies lived true to their ideals, and were eager to learn the old ways and put them to use, whether that meant baking wholegrain bread, midwifing babies, wildcrafting herbs, or building their own homes out of recycled materials.
There’s a quiet capability about the Taurean woman – never afraid to roll up her sleeves and do the work, she can surprise you with her physical and emotional strength and resilience. You will often see these women working in some kind of design, whether it’s graphics, architecture, or fashion. Taurean women are often artists, poets, or musicians, and are deeply inspired by the earth and all her creatures. Plants and animals speak to her soul, and are often expressed through her creativite characteristics – even if she doesn’t have a garden or a pet of her own to nurture. Most Taurean women are also deeply drawn to stones and crystals, and many of them create jewelry.
You might call the Taurus woman bull-headed at times, but she’s not stubbornly digging her heels in just for the sake of being right. The truth is, she has extremely well-thought-out, practical, and extremely reasonable points to make, and it’s difficult to argue with her rationale.
Once she sets her mind to do something, she just makes it happen – no matter what. Exceedingly reliable and satisfied by working hard at something she enjoys doing, you can trust that your Taurean will get the job done on time, with grace and aplomb. A Taurus woman manages her money well, and knows how to save – and how to spend! Part of why she works so hard is so that she can enjoy the finer things in life.

Taurus Women

https://astrologyanswers.com/zodiac-signs/taurus/woman/

The Taurus woman is someone that people tend to remember for a lot of different reasons. She is kind, caring, sensitive and sweet, and everyone is drawn to people like this. It’s the little things that tend to matter for the Taurus female, as she’s constantly paying attention to how people are treating her and others. Thoughtfulness matters, as that’s a pillar of the Taurus woman’s characteristics, and that’s because she’s constantly thinking things through on several levels.
Whether you are a Taurus woman or you know one, you’ll soon come to understand what this memorable person is all about. We’re going to delve into the details of her personality, her likes, dislikes, desires and potential things to watch for as part of her sign. We hope you’ll gain a deeper understanding of the Taurus female as a result.

The Taurus Woman's Personality - A Brief Overview
The Taurus woman savors the finer things in life, but that doesn’t mean that she’s high-maintenance or expecting to be constantly spoiled. She appreciates a great meal, but will appreciate someone cooking it for her almost more than dining at a fancy restaurant. She desires a true emotional connection with the people in her life, as that’s what truly inspires her existence. She is loyal, loving, kind and giving of herself, and she’s always paying attention to what’s happening, as she’s extremely introspective and eager to understand the context of any situation.
The Taurus zodiac sign is governed by emotion. She is extremely logical and, in many ways, practical. She is also extremely responsible and will make logical choices when others may act in a rash or impetuous manner. While many of the Taurus woman’s characteristics speak to calm and kindness, you should also be warned that if you manage to draw her ire, the Taurus woman’s fire burns hot, and you’ll have no doubt that you’ve made her unhappy should things get to that stage. However, this is a person who generally appreciates others and will usually put their interests above her own.

The Taurus Woman's Approach to Dating and Relationships
If you’ve just met a Taurus woman and you’re starting to date, you’re most likely a lucky person. That’s because the Taurus female is kind, loyal, sensual and caring. She is a true romantic in every sense of the word, and she likes her romance to burn hot for as long as possible. In addition, she’s also extremely reliable. You won’t have to worry about her flaking on plans or constantly showing up late. When she sets her mind to something, she’s committed to it and will see it through to the fullest extent possible. If you’re hoping for a stable, loving and warm relationship, the Taurus woman’s characteristics will help you enjoy exactly that experience.
On the other side, though, you need to understand that the Taurus female can be a bit jealous at times. She won’t really like it if you’re one to keep in touch with old partners, even if you’re “just friends” at this point. She is totally committed to you, and she expects the same in return. She can also be stubborn. Taurus women and men think things through constantly, so once they decide on a position, they’re going to stick to it and they will be nearly impossible to persuade otherwise. If you’d like more information, take a look at our Zodiac love compatibility chart.

The Taurus Female - Home and Family Life
If you’re going to marry or you’re already married to a Taurus woman, congratulations, as she is known to be an extremely loyal and loving spouse. She will work tirelessly to make sure that you’re as happy as possible, as that’s what gives her happiness. She’s also known as a great lover of food, so if that’s important to you, you’re in for regular treats. If romance is your thing, then you can expect that to continue well into the marriage, as this is not a person who’s going to lose interest in that deep connection on all levels.
In terms of things to potentially watch for, a Taurus woman may not like too much change in life, which obviously translates to a marriage. She will prefer to settle down in a home and live a constant, low-stress life. Much like dating a Taurus, however, a Taurus wife is someone who can become jealous, so steer clear of those casual contacts with people she sees as a threat. At her worst, the Taurus female can even become somewhat possessive. However, overall this is a woman who is going to have you appreciate who you married.

The Taurus Woman as a Friend - Loyalty and Honesty
A Taurus woman’s personality is generally one where she’s not going to have a huge circle of casual friends that changes all the time. Like the Taurus man, she’s more likely to make a handful of friends and hang onto them for life. She’s more interested in partnering with someone - even on a platonic level - for the long haul than making small talk with acquaintances every time she goes out somewhere. Given her deep knowledge of her close friends, the Taurus female is known for giving sage advice. That’s because she’s good at seeing things from others’ perspectives, and she’s spent a lot of time thinking about you if you’re a friend of hers.
In addition to all of the fantastic Taurus woman traits that make her a tremendous friend, she’s also extremely honest. While that’s a good thing from a broad perspective, there may be times when she can be so honest that it’s a bit uncomfortable. She wants and expects the best for you, so she’s not going to be afraid to tell you what you need to hear as opposed to what you may want to hear. Friends need to prod those they care about to do better from time to time, and the Taurus female won’t hesitate to do that. If you’re sensitive to constructive criticism, be prepared to have your feathers ruffled every now and then by your Taurus friend.

The Taurus Woman's Personality - Her Career Choices
Like nearly everyone else, the Taurus female is motivated to succeed in her career. However, she generally will want to do it in a certain way. This is not your proverbial “bull in a china shop” person who doesn’t care about who she hurts and what she says or does. Instead, she wants to succeed while feeling good about how she’s doing it. Taurus women tend to occupy all types of different occupations and professions, ranging from things like chefs to CEOs.
However, some feel that the Taurus woman can lack ambition. While that may seem harsh, it may also be due to the introspective and thoughtful nature consistent with the Taurus woman’s characteristics. She is going to think before she acts, and she’s going to be interested in building a career methodically and with a sound foundation instead of just climbing that ladder and worrying about the wake she leaves behind later. This can lead to some frustration in those who work with and live with the Taurus woman from time to time, but it’s most likely not going to change.

The Taurus Female and Fashion - Style Over Substance
A Taurus woman generally prefers to wear clothes that look good on her, and that will not go out of style quickly. She has that eye for those tasteful accoutrements that bring her outfits to the next level. She’s definitely one to remain with the times, but she’s not going to be all that concerned about being the first one to put some new style on and she’s definitely not looking to make any waves or break any norms. She’s always dressing properly and always looks like she put time into herself that day.
Overall, a Taurus woman is a caring, kind and loving person who wants to feel like she’s connected to the world around her, and that includes the people in her life. She may not be a social butterfly, but she’s loyal, intelligent, thoughtful and she will continue to stay with friends and loved ones through thick and thin. She enjoys experiences, but she also wants stability and comfort. She enjoys the finer things in life, but is not one to go overboard. If you’re a Taurus female and you’d like to keep up with yourself, check your Taurus horoscope regularly.

She likes protection, so she will live to plant and nurture the seeds as a devoted mother, and patiently wait for the root of them. As they are unadventurous in principle, change can be a threat to them. In a rut, she likes to retain the status quo, so that any changes in her life usually come out of the outside. They are born leaders and are not going to obey someone unless you actively consider someone to be your superior. They have brilliant leadership skills and can work successfully in the political, human resources and financial world. It can also be exceptional musicians, photographers, authors and gardeners.
The natural world is the sanctuary of the Taurus female personality, and she is able to see mostly trees from the windows. Low-light and burning candles create an intimate atmosphere to beguile the senses that she knows so innately. The fine incense smell always remains in the air, and she might like to splatter her rooms with sage or cedars regularly.
She just lets things happen, no matter what, once she sets her mind to do something. You can believe that your Taurean can get your work done on time with grace and aplomb, which is highly efficient and fulfilled by working hard on something she loves doing. A woman from Taurus handles her money well and is willing to save - and invest! Part of why she is working so hard is to make her life more enjoyable.

Taurus Female Compatibility with Other Signs
Taurus, Cancer, Virgo, Capricorn, and Pisces are compatible with Taurus. She's still incredibly hesitant and won't reconnect with a former boyfriend if he has dared to show her a sense of disrespect. The way out or more likely the door would be shown, overlooked like never before. After all, her emotions would prefer to invest in someone who does not deserve her affection, rather than her own business.
They have a mixture of most of the sterling attributes that are looked at by any guy. They are caring and believe that only in order to make others happy they are born. During adversity, they are stubborn, concentrated and obstinate. They have the opportunity to hold on to life's tight circumstances and issues. As long as her partner is committed to the union and makes her feel safe and secured, the caring ways of a Taurus woman make her a great giver in any relationship. Treat her wrongly and you can see her personality's fearlessness in full force. Like no one else, she will give the silent treatment. Often she may appear quiet and embarrassed, but not to preserve what she claims to be hers.

Taurus Female in Love
In honour of the true Taurean lady in love, the word picky was introduced. It takes these women a long time to choose an acceptable partner for life. A female Taurus is real and balanced and can be somewhat intimidating. These are nothing more but the facts! Recall her fiery temper? The cool and safe facade has a passion, it just didn't unleash it for the whole world to see. Often Taurus will fall in love with blinkers and concentrate entirely on their love life. Taurus' wife is passionate and gentle. Seductive and will pamper her husband in and out of the bedroom. She's going to take her time and has to be wooed. She needs to meet her partner and she's not going to commit until she thinks she's the right option. But only if she really provokes. She's jealous. Taurus women appreciate the romantic thrill of courtesy, affectionate and sensual, but never rushes into a relationship. Her relationships may take a long time to get away, as she carefully thinks about all aspects of her partner's intimacy before she commits herself.

Taurus Woman Celebrities
Megan Fox, Penelope Cruz, Adele, Queen Elizabeth, Cate Blanchett and Cher to name a few. These Taureans have won hearts of many all over the globe. That is the charm of A Taurus Female.
The ladies born under the Bull's sign often have a graceful and yet alluring and sensual but responsive character and are luxurious. These women project a simple elegance, be it comfortably dressed for hard work in vintage denim or lounging with silks. Natural beauty, they are particularly astonishing, although they do enjoy playing colours and sparkles for effect.
You will gain it for a long time if you learn how to love this earthly goddess as she deserves. Taurean women tend to remain firm and trustworthy in relationships.

Tantric Sex

See Tantric Yoga School below

https://www.shape.com/lifestyle/sex-...sex-definition

You've likely heard the phrase a million times before — but what is tantric sex, exactly? To understand what tantric sex is, first, you need to get to know tantra.

Tantra is an ancient spiritual belief system that originated in India and has been around for thousands of years. "Tantra was this radical belief that said anything can be part of your spiritual path (eating, meditation, exercising, etc.), and unlike other spiritual outlets at the time, that included sex," explains Layla Martin, a highly-regarded tantra teacher and host of the YouTube series Epic Sex & Legendary Longing.

Historically, sex was only a very very small piece of the tantra pie; however, people have zeroed in on this portion, likely because it awesomely aims to replace feelings of shame around sex with deeper, more pleasurable feelings, says Martin. "Tantra gives people the opportunity to put sacredness, intimacy, and gratitude back into their sex lives," she says. "And I think people gravitate toward that because they want to feel that sex is holy."

Anyone can take advantage of tantra and try tantric sex. "Even though tantra is a spiritual path, you don't have to be spiritual to do it," explains Martin. "It's the same if you practice yoga, which is also a spiritual path. You'll still experience more connection, pleasure, aliveness, and deeper intimacy." (Here's why yoga is more popular than ever before.)

Sounds awesome, no? But what is tantric sex, exactly, and how do you have it? Read on for a tantric sex definition plus tips and tricks for having tantric sex — whether you're solo or partnered.

What Is Tantric Sex?
Basically, tantric sex is a slower, more mindful way to practice sex in which orgasm isn't the main goal — rather, it's enjoying the sensations, pleasure, and connection that come with the process. "Tantric sex is sex that's a mind-altering journey," says Martin. "It's an exploration of how much deeper, dynamic, healing, creative, and inspiring sex can be when you allow it to be about more than just the orgasm."

If you take anything away, make it this: Orgasm is not the goal of tantric sex. "In tantra, we avoid goals entirely," says tantra expert Barbara Carrellas, a certified sexologist and author of Urban Tantra: Sacred Sex For The Twenty-First Century. Rather, the intention is to worship yourself and/or your partner. #blessed

Tantra sex can be officially divided into two categories: red tantra and white tantra. White tantra is the solo practice, while red is the tantra with a partner — "it's where you take everything from your solo practice and bring it into the lover," explains Leah Piper, a tantra educator who conducts More Love seminars

How to Have Solo Tantric Sex
Now that you know what tantric sex is, want to try it? While tantric sex can be practiced both individually and with another person (or persons), tantra experts suggest starting solo. "If you shift your solo-sex practice, you can shift how you have sex with a partner," explains Martin. "If you haven't practiced this tantric shift in how you masturbate, it'll be harder to allow it to happen with someone else." Use the four steps below to guide your solo play. (Related: How I Taught Myself Mindful Masturbation — and Why You Should Too)

1. Set up.
The first step is to "transform your bedroom into a temple," says Sofia Sundari, international tantra teacher and founder of the Tantra Mystery School and the Priestess School. Make sure it's clean, choose music that puts you into a sensual mood, dim the light, use essential oils that are pleasant to your senses, and make sure the room temp is comfortable. "The ambiance you create should feel nourishing," she says. (It'll probably also help you sleep better, for the record.)

2. Breathe.
Now, try diaphragmatic breathing — also called relation, belly, or abdominal breathing. To try it, put one hand on your chest and the other on your abdomen. Take a deep breath through your nose and feel the sensation of your belly expanding. Inhale for four counts, then slowly exhale through your mouth for four counts. "This will help calm your adrenals and bring you into a relaxed state where a transcendental experience is possible," says Piper.

(BTW, did you know you can have an orgasm just from breathing? Carrellas says it's true. She even made an mp3 to teach you.)

3. Explore your *entire* body.
"Your whole body is your instrument of pleasure and expansion, not just your genitals," says Sundari. That's why she suggests exploring — spending extra time on your neck, chest, abdomen, inner thighs, and ankles, which are the bodies main "chakras" (AKA erogenous zones) — through self-massage and touch. (You might even use one of these luxe bath oils, which are good for your mind and body.) As you do this, pay attention to the sensations happening in your uterus, your pelvic floor, your cervix, and your vagina, suggests Martin.

4. Masturbate...slowly.
Surprise! The groin is also a chakra. If you're feeling it, go ahead and touch yourself. But slow it down. "Do everything twice as slowly as you usually do," says Carrellas. In tantra, there's a saying: Three strokes for thirty. "This means it's better to touch three times with exquisite consciousness than thirty times with a lack of full attention," she explains. (Here are more masturbation tips that will totally change how you self-pleasure.)

So, can you use toys? "Absolutely," says Carrellas. "We're focused on building erotic energy, so however you want to do that — BDSM, vibrators, butt plugs — is allowed." But, it's still important to slow it down and de-center the orgasm, she says. That's why she suggests running the toy down your abdomen and along your limbs to amplify the sensations. (In the market for a new toy? Check out the best sex toys on Amazon and these best vibrators for women.)

5. Take it up a notch.
Ready to take your solo play to the next level? "Masturbate to the point of orgasm, but before you orgasm, don't — stop it with a breath. Breathe that orgasm up your body and into your heart. Then do that again. The third time, allow yourself to have a genital orgasm. As you do, breath into your heart and allow yourself to have a heart-orgasm at the same time." (If that sounds a little woo-woo for you, check out these seven other types of orgasms).

How to Have Tantric Sex with a Partner
Want to try tantra with a partner? Combine the above steps with the below basic guidelines on having tantric sex. Keep in mind: "Tantric sex might look like every other type of sex on the outside, but what's different is what's happening on the inside," says Martin.

1. Talk to your partner.
First things first: You need to get a partner on board. If you have an S.O., Carrellas suggests broaching the subject by saying, 'I read about this and I've been practicing it, and it's really trippy and pleasurable. It's something I would like to try it with you.' "Present it has something that may be fun to try together," she says. No long-term partner? No problem. That's not a pre-requisite for tantric sex. (For more ideas, also consult this guide on How to Create More Intimacy with Your Partner.)

2. Get present.
Ever have mid-romp thoughts like: 'What are we going to do next?' or 'I wonder if I'll be able to orgasm,' or 'will sex today be better (or worse) than it was yesterday?'

"These thoughts take you out of your body and throw you into your anxious monkey mind," says Carrellas. Instead, she suggests using breath and asking yourself grounding questions like 'Where am I feeling you most intensely?' to tune into the present moment.

"You might try matching your breath to your partner's," suggests Carol Queen Ph.D., Good Vibrations sexologist and curator of the Antique Vibrator Museum.

3. Practice eye gazing.
In other words: Make a lot of eye contact. "If you've never done it before, you'll probably giggle or feel self-conscious at first. Just relax and keep breathing," says Carrellas. "You'll soon drop into a kind of lovely hypnotic intimacy, unlike anything you've felt before."

4. Kiss.
And don't half-ass it. "Each time you kiss your loved one, kiss as if it is the last time you are kissing. Offer all of yourself into the kiss," says Sundari. If this sounds intense, that's because it is — in tantra, kissing is called oral lovemaking, after all. (Related: All The Health Benefits Of Kissing)

5. Make noise.
You should probably wait to have tantric sex until your roommates out of town — it can get loud. "Making sounds helps people experience more pleasure, validates your partner, and helps you stay connected to each other," says Piper. (And, FYI, research has found that people who moan during sex actually have better sex.)

Whether or not that includes dirty talk is up for debate within the tantra community. "In my world, if it helps you go to the deep place of connection, it belongs," says Carrellas.

However, other experts "discourage a lot of words because the left side of the brain is where thinking and language happens, whereas the right side is what helps us go into a fantasy world," says Piper. Using words to describe what you're feeling can light up the left side and keep you from going fully into the right side, she explains. That's why she recommends sticking to making noises.

Regardless, the point is to feel connected to your partner. So use your voice and sounds (whichever feels right for you) to facilitate that connection.

6. Try different tantric sex positions.
Tantric sex is all about the connection, so as long as you're connecting, there's no right or wrong way to do it, says Carrellas. Any position can be tantra-fied (it's a verb, k?) by slowing it down, adding eye gazing, and staying present. (Win-win: Practice tantric sex with these sex positions that promise clitorial stimulation.)

Try experimenting with a position called "Yab Yum," which Queen says is known as the tantric sex position: The penetrating partner sits cross-legged and the receiving partner straddles their lap, facing them, and wraps their laps around the partners lower back, she explains. (Note: the penetration here can happen vaginally or anally). As you embrace, add in eye-gazing and breathing practices mentioned above, if you like. "The embrace is sweet all by itself but it also allows you to control speed and depth, and to pull each other even closer," says Queen.

If you want more ideas, consult this list of tantric sex positions. Keep in mind that deep penetration can be painful for some folks, so foreplay, lube, and honoring your body are key. (Really, though: Lube will make tantric sex even more amazing.)

Tantric Positions

Tantra Sex Is Sex, But Better
If you've been craving sex that's better, longer-lasting, and more intimate—and let's be honest, who isn't—it might be time to try tantric sex.

Tantrhuhh? "Tantric sex a slowed-down, awe-inspiring, super hot way of having sex," says tantra expert Barbara Carrellas, a certified sexologist and author of Urban Tantra: Sacred Sex for the Twenty-First Century

. "Tantra is the way you do something, it's the principle you apply. So, really, you can do any activity—and any sex position—tantrically."

If that surprises you, you're not alone. "People have all these ideas and misconceptions about tantra sex and how it looks," says Layla Martin, a highly-regarded tantra teacher and host of the YouTube series Epic Sex & Legendary Longing. "Tantra actually doesn't look that different on the outside, it just feels different on the inside because it's sex plus that inner connection."

That means you don't need to learn a whole new set of sex skills and/or configurations. Instead, you're applying a ~tantric flair~ to enhance the positions you already know by slowing down, de-centering the orgasm, maintaining eye contact, and focusing on deep loving. (If that sounds like mushy mumbo-jumbo to you, check out Everything You Need and Want to Know About Tantra and Tantra Sex, then come right back here.)

Still, some positions lend themselves to tantric sex better than others. Sorry, but positions that require feats of fitness (such as wheelbarrow, scissoring, and standing split) are best saved for another time.

To help you get started, we asked tantric sex experts to share their fave tantric sex positions for beginners. So, go on, turn on that Ray LaMontagne or Marvin Gaye (if that's your thing), light some candles, shut the blinds, and try these positions.

Leisurely Self-Love
Once you decide you're interested in tantric sex, experts recommend trying it with yourself first. "Tantric masturbation is the exact opposite of the quick-n-dirty, rush-to-the-finish-line masturbation that so many people practice," says Carol Queen, Ph.D., Good Vibrations sexologist and curator of the Antique Vibrator Museum. "It entails concentrating on your breath, slowing down your touch, being super-mindful of your whole body, and noticing energy that builds in your body and how it connects you to everything else."

And no, you won't fall asleep. "When you slow down and focus this way, it takes longer to build up to climax, and that can actually make the orgasm more powerful," she says.

There are no rules as to what tantric masturbation includes. "Toys can be part of it, but they aren't mandatory," says Leah Piper, a tantra educator who conducts More Love seminars. Do what feels good for you. And don't shy away from trying new things like rolling onto your stomach, taking it to the bathtub, experimenting with nipple play and nipplegasms, or testing some of the best sex toys and vibrators for women.

3 of 8 Tilted Missionary
3 of 8
Tilted Missionary
There's a reason this tried-and-true position is a fave in long-term relationships: it's the ultimate connection-booster. Before you get into it, start with in-sync breath work (breathing at the same time as your partner) or eye gazing (looking into each other's eyes), suggests Martin. "Two minutes is a good amount of time for beginners." Work your way up to five or ten minutes.

After that, go ahead and add penetration. To deepen penetration or make accessing the G-spot easier, add a sex pillow or ramp (like Dame's Pillo), or have the receiving partner place their legs over the shoulders of the penetrating partner, says international tantra teacher Sofia Sundari, founder of the Tantra Mystery School and the Priestess School.

You can use this tantric sex position to stimulate your cervix as well, says Sundari. This will depend on the size of the penetrator and where the receiving partner is in their menstrual cycle (because the cervix drops lower when you're menstruating), she explains. "Cervical stimulation may produce cervical orgasm and these orgasms produce profound states of consciousness, but the sensation can also be really intense." That's why she says a good idea to go there only when the receiver feels highly aroused and open to communicate if it feels like too much. In that instance, spend some time kissing without penetration, and then return to standard missionary. (Or, try one of these other period-sex approved sex positions.)

4 of 8 Yab Yum
4 of 8
Yab Yum
If you've ever seen the cover of a tantric sex book or workshop brochure, this position may look familiar. It's considered the ultimate tantric sex position, according to Queen. "Yab Yum entails a seriously intimate, connection-boosting configuration." Basically, it's a tantra-fied version of the already-intimate lotus position.

Have the penetrating partner sit cross-legged on the bed (or couch, or floor) and the receiver straddle their partner's lap facing towards, legs wrapped around their partners lower back. "As your partner penetrates you and you're embracing each other, add tantra practices like eye-gazing and in-sync breathing," says Queen. From here, rock back and forth together for deep penetration. If the person on top has a vulva, they can tilt their pelvis up for extra G-spot love. (See also: 7 G-Spot Positions You Have To Try)

BTW: The penetration can happen anally too. It's a great way to hit your A-spot if you're on top (a sensitive area of tissue at the ends of the vaginal canal, between the cervix and the bladder, that can be indirectly stimulated through anal sex). And it's a great way to hit a guy's P-spot if he's on top (and you're using a strap-on). Just keep in mind that anal sex can be painful if the body isn't properly prepped with foreplay and lube. (Actually, in general, lube will make any tantric sex position *that* much more amazing.)

5 of 8 The Great Bee
5 of 8
The Great Bee
The Great Bee is like Cowgirl—the penetrating partner is laying on their back and the receiving partner riding them—but there's one key difference. "The partner on top pulls their legs up towards their chest as if they're doing a deep squat. They can brace themselves with their arms on the partner's chest, and the partner can offer support," says Queen.

This position allows for thrusting that's really deep (hello, A-spot!), but not fast. While 'thrusting"' usually implies an in-and-out motion, this tantric sex position "gives you a chance to experience intercourse differently," explains Queen. "I recommend that the penetrating partner try making circles, going back and forth, or tilting side to side." Don't worry so much about finding the perfect rhythm, remember tantra isn't about perfection. It's about connection.

For added clitoral stimulation, try using a small vibrator too.

6 of 8 Connected Cunninlingus
6 of 8
Connected Cunninlingus
"In tantra, we call oral sex 'oral love,'" says Piper. "It's the act of honoring your partner's body full and completely with your mouth. It's the act of using your hot mouth to bless and worship the one you love." (Is it hot in here or is it just me??)

When you're being worshipped (#bless), "your intention isn't necessarily to climax, but to focus on your breath and experience your partner deeper, emotionally," says Martin. Try breathing in through the nose and exhaling out through the mouth. This will help you connect to the sensations happening from your toes to your vagina to your head—and to your partner, she says. "This shift in focus will allow you to see and feel something deeper." (Related: Everything You Should Know About Oral STI's, But Probably Don't)

For an extra boost of intimacy, prop yourself on your forearms and look down at your partner and into their eyes. "At first this might feel awkward and really vulnerable. But don't give up, it takes a minute for it to become second nature," says Piper.

7 of 8 Spooning Sex
7 of 8
Spooning Sex
Spooning sex is already intimate—you're literally cuddling, after all. Go deeper by starting snuggled up with bae, sans penetration and just... talking. Seriously. "My partner and I play a verbal game called 'Desires, Fears, and Loves' as foreplay where we share what we really want, what we're afraid of, and what we love about each other," says Martin. "When you share this information in a structured way, the intimacy and connection deepens the intimacy of the sex that comes after."

When you're ready to begin, have the penetrating partner (aka the big spoon) ease inside the receiving partner, either vaginally or anally. From here, get handsy! Touch yourself, touch your partner, run your hands up and down their thighs, or intertwine your fingers with theirs. (Thinking about trying anal sex? Here are 12 things you need to know.)

If you're the receiving partner, twist your head and look at your lover. (Looking back at it has never been so intimate!)

Doggy-style gets a bad rep for being disconnected, but even this penetrator-in-back position can be tantra-fied. "It's true that Doggy Style has a very primal attitude to it, but it's actually a great option for opening up the root chakra, which is the erogenous zone that helps us feel a sense of belonging and security," says Sundari.

Start in classic doggy style, with the receiving partner on all fours and the penetrating partner behind them. But instead of grasping the receiver's hips, the penetrator can drape their body over their partners so that there's more skin-on-skin contact. Most important, says Sundari, "the receiver should arch their back in order to activate the heart's energy center." It sounds a little woo-woo, and it's certainly a powerful angle, but don't worry if you're not a spiritual or religious person. She promises you don't have to be to feel the passion these slight shifts create. *Insert flame emoji* (Related: 10 Different Sex Positions That'll Spice Up Your Bedroom)
