Pretty much my thoughts on the ordeal. Besides the price, they haven't set anything in stone yet, so I'm nowhere near as outraged as I would've been half a year ago. If they're set on $25, they should at least add a little extra.

But like I said in chat, there's a severe lack of info on how these daily deals will turn out in the future. We don't know if they'll rotate them weekly, if we're going back to the regular sales after a week, etc. There doesn't seem to be a rhyme or reason to the order they're releasing them either.

If the unit's stats were comparable to other 5* units, I would disagree. We typically expect to pay around $20 for a 5* ticket; $5 more for a fully-bloomed limited unit seems decent, but as I said only if that units stats meant it would actually see use. Otherwise the blooms don't really mean anything.

That was part of their summer sale, so everything was cheap as hell at that time (not just for FKG).

$2.50 for a 10% chance at a rainbow or 20% chance at a gold was the real highlight at the time.

Regardless, those are the exceptions, not the norm. Expect similar sales for Black Friday and Christmas, but don't apply them to weekly sales like this.

Enough for me to waver between my rule not to pay for f2p games and support the publishers in hope we get more content faster.

After a quick look it seems the middle option (in Poland) supports Przelewy24, a service that's the least intrusive out of all the other options.
Keep in mind that the second option adds a little to the price, even though it's a small amount.

A once/twice a year sale like Black Friday sure, but a semi-regular Daily Deal (and I admit I don't know how often the 1000NG deal will be repeated yet) didn't feel right for me.

No, I get it, it's just...weird. Even as a joke, the daily deal would equate 1 heart = 1 FG assuming a 66% sale, and 1 heart being worth even less below that. I'm not clamoring for compensation; I'm not terribly big on the idea short of large-scale fuckups that result in the game being unexpectedly down for hours on end or game-breaking bugs, etc.

But think about this: 3 Hearts for 100 NG was a pretty decent deal; a lot of people probably jumped on this one regardless of there being a bug. So, let's simplify things since none of us has hard sales data and say that 50% of people who regularly spend money on the game bought the deal before the bug was fixed. Once the bug became known, lets be generous and say that 25% of the people who usually -don't- spend money on the game then purchased the deal before it got fixed.

If Nutaku hadn't fixed the bug, yeah, they'd have made a decent bit from the people who usually don't buy; but they likely wouldn't be able to offer this deal again for a very, very long time; it was just way too many hearts to let go for only $1. Nutaku will end up making more money by fixing the bug and reselling the deal, and they know this perfectly well.

As for offering the 2nd tier gifts as a followup deal? Nutaku knows perfectly well that people would buy it whether there was a bug or not, but honestly I'd be surprised if they offered a deal for the gifts before there was a way to earn them in-game; sure people would buy it, but there'd rightly be a pretty big shitstorm about it too.

I can't say whether 3 hearts for 100 NG was a good deal or not, since we do not know yet how easily these things will be to obtain within the Nutaku version of the game. For all we know, they could only be available through NG/FG transactions at 1FG or 100NG a piece, with the current LC deal (I got one from there as well) being a temporary introduction. So yeah, I grabbed this deal, just in case.

Anyway, more important matter is: who to apply these hearts to.
1. Waifu, that's obvious, so Acacia got one.
2. Fritillaria. She's a keymember of the first squad in my Whale team, so it's only good if she gets better.
3. Cymbidium. Also a member of the first squad in my Whale team. Her 2x passive is also unreplacable, so, as a 5*, she definitely needs the boost to keep up
4. Southern Cross. She's with Acacia in my debuff-squad. Also the only girl with a bloomed form available who I actually use in my main unit, and her debuff is only shared with Gentian. Southern Cross is the way better unit of the two.
5. Hypericum. I really don't want to replace the most awesome ninja evah with a rainbow, so this counter-girl gets a buff to keep up with the 6*'s
6. I had one squad left in my main unit that didn't have a girl with 2nd affection unlocked, so last heart went to Alpinia. I'm sure she'll benefit from it.

Anemone is great for bosses with low hp (the 1 hp per hit ones) because she hits 3 times, she is also great as your last girl in the squad to clean up anything that is missed because she can target the same enemy 3 times or 3 different enemies.

Saffron is nice because blooming is just around the corner and she has a bloom form with dodge and counter skills.

Stats aside I prefer Anemone for looks as well.

Other piercers I like:
Daisy: she's innocent in a lewd manner and deals IMBA damage.
Snowdrop: One of the most "normal" girls available, but her debuff helps more than a Defense bonus against the tougher bosses. (A debuff squad is pretty strong overall)
Burning Bush: must-have for trigger-squads.
Mei Plumblossom: Together with Cattleya, she's a must-have on your whale-ship team. A guaranteed solarblast at the start, though I'd advice saving it against the smaller pests and help your squad get through those, instead of using it on the ancient bosses (it deals relatively very little damage against ancients)

Overall, I think all Pierce-rainbows are well-rounded units, so it's more a matter of personal tastes regarding their design and the strategies you use within your squads. If you don't play with a trigger-squad, then Burning Bush suddenly becomes a lot less interesting. If you don't use Solar Blasts, then Mei Plumblossom and Hollyhock become a lot less interesting..

Last time, they were just a bit short, but a solarblast would get rid of 1 or 2 of the three. The downside of my triggersquad is, that I never really invested in their defence, other than by giving them jewelry, so if I don't use Solar Blasts, they tend to loose a couple of units along the way. If it's Cymbidium or Fritillaria who's lost, then that really cripples the performance of the entire squad. Which is why I keep investing quite heavily in the offense of that squad. For glass cannons, offense is the best defense.

My debuff squad would probably last longer without the Solar Blasts, but it deals less damage per combat round, which means fights take longer, making it more suitable against bosses.

Just to make sure there's no misunderstanding, I'm not saying solar blasts are useless; only that they'll get better in the future, so don't necessarily discount girls that modify the SB/shines drop rates.

Everyone's situation is different which is why I offered my alternative opinion on using Solar Blast on whaleship maps: in contrasting with your squad my main squad (consisting of Dendrobium, Saffron, Acacia, Iberis and Alpinia) rarely loses any of its members (Acacia and Iberis are typically the first to die since I've not put any ampies or blooms into them while the other three are maxed on ampies with full skillblooms and one dressbloom away from 4/4 and almost maxed jewelry). My squad though is pretty much all about brute force since I swap out Acacia and Iberis for Sakura and Cherry for RB events and I've been too lazy to cook up a more fine-tuned squad; Scotch Broom will probably take Iberis' place in the near future. In my case, I have the luxury of not needing the SB for the small pests so I looked for a way to boost the survivability of the whaleship since the final outcome is way too dependent on the overall RNG for the whaleship special attacks (if the first two encounters were mostly just the side cannons, then the final encounter would leave the whaleship dangerously low on health).

I guess this should be a separate discussion, but in short Drip, I absolutely agree with your assessments as they relate to certain scenarios; I only wanted to illustrate that usage of the SB on whaleship missions isn't necessarily one-size-fits all. :)

I can only offer anecdotal evidence with a caveat: I haven't seen Saffron dodge anything since the update, but the only reliable place I could see that are whaleship missions since with the other maps it's pretty rare for any group of pests to survive a first turn face-full of Dendrobium's fist, Acacia's buzzsaws and/or Saffron's shooting gallery. If tomorrow's update doesn't fix it I'll test it in depth on the next bout of whaleship missions.

This week-end, at different times, I logged in with more way more stamina that I should have had at that moment, like 170 instead of 70-90.
So I run an event stage, and I get a bonus stage. With what I used at my previous login, I should not have enough stam fro that bonus.
BUT, if I enter the bonus stage at that moment, I get a loading screen freeze, then I refresh the page, and I still have the wrong amount of stamina and I can then enter the bonus stage.

After that, I hit the gatherings, and the counter changes with the "visual" bug.

If I went to gatherings before starting my stages, then I lost enough stam to no being able to do the stage.

Loading failures can give you an extra stamina refund. That's separate from the display issue.

Gotta agree with Sniddy on this; 100NG for 10 2nd aff gifts would be an amazing deal, letting people buy it two more times is an insane deal.

As you noted, 6* tickets have gone for 1000NG; imagine a daily deal where you could get 3 6* tickets for 3000NG.

I don't know...the wikia states that it can be obtained by completing a Special Mission that isn't currently available to us. If completing that mission only gives the award once, then it's probably worth getting another copy. Otherwise, no, unless you're -really- into using Solar Blasts, can't wait for the mission to be available and are willing to forego the stats from using any other bracelet.

3. No stats.
4. You can't upgrade it (yes, it is stuck at lvl 1 forever!), so it won't get any +def or +atk that way either.
5. Even if you like to use your Solar Blast, 15% is hardly noticable. It becomes noticable once you get over about 50%, which is impossible using this bracelet, since it doesn't stack.

Hm. I wonder if the not-stacking with character ability applies to the entire squad or the character wearing it? For instance, if Hollyhock is the only crystal booster in the party (20%) it seems clear that she won't benefit from the bracelet. But what if another girl in the squad who had no boosting ability wore it; would the overall total go to 35% or would the 15% just be ignored? If it's ignored, then I don't even see the point of the bracelet.

I actually like the increased shine crystal drop rate passive, particularly since I relied pretty heavily on Bipinna Cosmos' use of it, way back in the early days when she was my main gold.

But yeah, in light of all that, it's probably not worth getting. Particularly when we should be getting it for free with some map later (that we should've had ages ago, but I digress).

Still, nothing worth fussing over. We did just get a $1 gold deal earlier. Having shitty deals to balance out the good ones is nothing unusual.

5*'s with unique abilities:
1. Cymbidium. By far the best 5* around with her 2x trigger rate on the first round for the entire party. Dendrobium's variation only applies to Dendrobium herself, not the rest of the squad.
2. Chocolate Cosmos & Lantana for their Chocolate Healing nodes.
3. Strawberry Candle for her Solar Shrine nodes. (only really interresting if you actually use Solar Blast, but if you do, she spawns upto 3 shrines each filling half your solar power bar)
4. Southern Cross & Gentian with their Trigger Rate Debuff. (they're event girls though, so not subjects for your ticket)
