I don't know about you guys, but I'm finding medium tanks to be more useful than any other type. I rate TDs second, but they can't do anything alone so their gear cost to be effective is pretty much doubled. Heavies tank a certain amount of damage well but can't possibly earn back their gear cost to deploy. Lights are too fast for their fragility and wind up being targeted before the slower units. (You can time their order of engagement, but only for the first skirmish...after that, they're toast.) And I don't even need to say anything about artillery.

I suppose I'll have to see how resilient the Jagdtiger gets at higher levels, but by the time I get to the point in a battle where I can afford to deploy a 6 gear tank it's usually not worth it because my mediums have already carried the day. I'm sure there's a niche for everything, and being at the crater hex 4 hexes before the northernmost oilfield I'm not even close to where some of you are, but it seems that at least where I am now deploying combined arms just isn't a great tactic. If it is and I'm just missing something, I hope when we really get the Armor Blitz wiki going it gets deeper into gameplay than just listing stats and showing pics.

Also, how high are you typically leveling your medallions? I never use any below 3*s, and I always level them up to +6 because going below 50% chance seems like a natural stopping point. If I had the extra currency I'd definitely level up my 5*s to full, but I just spent 100K on that last scouting slot so I need to keep enough on hand to keep the factory running at all times.
