    Well, to me there are two schools of thought to running AB maps. Others may have different ideas which may be better than my own.

    The first is just a straight up medium rush...they're not very tanky, but enough to not fold instantly and do sufficient DPS to make what tankiness they do have last the entire map once you get a good deathball rolling...just make sure you send your slowest mediums first (bonus points if they're also the tankiest) so that the faster ones get to tank the later opponents as they outrun those that just finished tanking the previous ones, who still get to contribute their DPS without dying. I tend to favor this approach at the beginning of a battle.

    The second is a combined arms approach. If the problem with A/D tanks is their fragility, send out a heavy first to tank with A/D backup so that their fragility isn't an issue because the heavy is getting shot instead. The problem with this approach is that any good heavy is going to cost 5 gears to deploy, and by the time you've got enough gears to deploy your A/D tanks (which should be a minimum of 4 gears, more likely 5) the heavy is over halfway dead (still able to pop defense and last a bit longer, but still). You can't really stack multiple heavies because of their gear cost, so you have to go one heavy, one A/D (maybe two) and then start over with another heavy as your first 'wave' is overrun. I generally don't like doing this until near the end of a battle when multiple enemy reinforcements aren't so frequent. (Also because at this point I don't have any mediums left and this is what I'm stuck with...I'm not going to NOT use my 5* A/D tanks in favor of more 4* mediums, after all.)

    And got the Arty chan.
    Dropped 1K cores on this event to get the bundles. Now I kinda regret it, since after some calculations the last bundle was not necessary, but with my work schedule I didnt want to risk it. Either go big or go home.
    40K left for M3 copies
    80K left for Panzerwerfer.
    12 days of event left Minus the work days. I shoudl be able to have some spare wings for the exchange shop at the end.
    Seems like it will be a while before I get to my 5th factory slot still.

    For those who dont know, you get both girls at L15... which is nice honestly. Since they can be used immediately for low tiear maps.
    Panzerwerfer suffers from short range (21 base) for an artillery, so giving her emblems that have range increase bonus is well worth it (got mine at 24). After shuffling around my emblems I did manage to get Super Pershing to over 7K health, solid evasion and armor, Tabby is sitting on 9K health but mediocre evasion and armor,. Catriona and Victoria have both been built for pure damage to utulize their long range abilities.
    Even so, the 3rd Node of the Spirit path, is just.... frustrating.

    This event is many things, but the word FUN is nowhere to be found. And having fun while playing a game (especially a browser game, which tend to be very simplistic) is kinda to the whole point of playing a game in the first place.

    That's the thing...you have to calculate how many bundles you're going to need, but you don't have to buy all of them right away...you can always purchase the last one on the last day.

    My problem is that (even considering pumpkins, which I have largely stopped collecting because it was boosting my Lieutenant's XP too much) I won't need the last bundle for the bat wings, but I will need it for the ghosts because of that last motherfucking node on the third tile, and only being able to do your best at the beginning of the event before your Lieutenant levels up and the scaling fucks you over.

    I'm doing what I consider the bare minimum (5X Angora for dailies, plus PoC) so I don't lose the ability to complete any MORE of the event nodes. Hell of a way to run an event, AB.

    I know it must be suicide, but i'm clearing all invasions just cause i have too much oil. Went from 41 to 43 lieutenant lvl during event.

    Also, once again 3 4* in factory, that makes it 7 4* in 3 days rngwtf.

    I am already commander level 47 so I am doing all invasions for pumpkins... not many more commander levels to go anyways and my tanks need all the exp they can get. PS, I posted a reply from the AB team in the Halloween event thread, if you did not see it is is worth checking out (they may be tweaking tiles 3 and 4). And future events should be easier.

    I just said 'fuck the oil, there's a terrible event I have to grind through and I'm not going to screw myself over for it.'

    Of course, the problem then becomes 'how often will we be in event mode and will we need to give up on completing some of them so that we can just get a roster of maxed tanks to do later events?'

    Also also, I just redeemed two of my three concurrent factory 4*s as well, and it's been like nine total for me recently.

    I guess I'm the opposite of you guys then. I just said fuck it and do all invasions every day since they give plenty of pumpkins too. Sooner or later I'll hit the commander cap anyway. Might as well do it asap so I can keep leveling my tanks with no worries.

    I get it, but they've said the difficulty is going to be different for future events, so for this one only it's a case of 'do what you have to do to finish the event.' We'll see next time if they get it balanced correctly, because they've admitted they got it wrong this time.
