Not going to take either side here, but I just want to note that I'm glad that we're finally getting into the nuts and bolts analysis of what works best in this game.

(Also not gonna lie, I have no interest in figuring this out for myself and I'd rather just piggyback off of your work.)

Well all I know that is when my army is mostly 3*s, I struggled to even beat Final Maunis but once I Started to stack on the penetration, I blew final manunis apart and pressed onto and reached Final Ociaia and thats where I am now.

At this point I'm pretty sure its just my shitty emblems/3* tanks that's holding me back.

At that level of damage pen to get 100% damage would indeed be a better option.

Crit works best with big damage numbers, my army is currently 9/15 5* and 6/15 4* so big damage numbers for most of them and Atk Speed/Crit Chance/Crit Damage for most of my DPS tanks.

I have mostly Mediums with 2 5* arty including arty chan and 2 5* lights and I'm not using Pen on anything right now.

Holy shit that is one very powerful character... Basic range 20 without any emblems, and reduces range of enemy targets. 12 second stun sound amazing as anti Mouse.

I wonder if the "exchange shop" we saw in this event will be a mechanic that will be in others as well. I think its a very cool mechanic giving you something extra if you are willing to farm for it
(yeah I tried the one for Emblems and the one for tanks > all 3* crap, nothing really good came out of it.).
The extra metal/gold for pumpkins is very good example for one.

She is but can also be a double edge sword if not placed correctly as reducing enemy range can allow them to bypass your units assuming they survive that is

Well I'll be. I was just burning the excess gas and doing the daily quest.. behold Ho-Ri II dropped. Too bad she isn't my type so she'll have to wait until my 3* tanks reach level 50 first before I shift tanks around for having my 3* to be as strong as possible for scouting XD

But what is this, "Premium Pack bundles for new users and certain user brackets"

I don't see anything new in the store so I'm guessing I don't qualify.

I finally finished the event! (Well, cleared the 142k mark for the tanks... After spending 750 cores for bat and ghost wings... )

So I take the new tanks out for a spin and drop the M3 into play. I activate her haste right as my front line is breaking up. She slams into the side of a threadbare enemy artillery, claws her way through it and then shoots off -sideways- on this weird goddamn golden ratio curve of a decaying orbit that takes her directly BEHIND the enemy commander. So I'm out of just about everything and the enemy is still sending out a column of Tigers to stomp my Lt. into gravy, while the M3 just hangs out and stabs the enemy commander in the spine. The enemy commander still has a LOT of health and I'm about to be overrun so I deploy my last tank right as the enemy stomp squad arrives and drop a defender buff on them, giving the M3 just barely enough time to finish off the enemy commander.

And that's how I beat the third event tile too late for it to do any good.

    Hail Satan.

It probably wasn't their intention that the golden tickets from this event would convince me that the wishing wheel is utterly, hilariously worthless but they did and I am. A 100 cores a spin when getting 150 oil or 1000 coin is not only a possibility but a practical certainty is something I can't even laugh at. The sane underhanded approach would be to have every section of the wheel be at least 'value equivalent to the cost' and only then introduce skew drop statistics, marking only some specific and less useful things within a category drop commonly.* You should NEVER make it THIS apparent how and where you're cost-value screwing people with a gacha if you want them to spend on it.

    * Basically, fill your machine with fifty Dave Guys to one Ranger Guy. Slow fat children will spend heavily if they feel they're 'so close' to getting what they want.
Also sunk cost fallacy. Psychology. Use it.
