Pretty sure the site uses its users CPU for farming or something similar. My CPU goes up about 30% when the site is open, and a 2D Sprite based clicking game should usually cost little to no performance.
I am running the game in firefox and i can not see any difference whether the game is open or not, firefox is always somewhere from 0.2 to 1% CPU
