From what I know Lantana have something with animal, Texas seem believe in tales, Pepo can see ghost.

No point in trying to push for a Win on the Giant Boss. Just do as much damage as possible. The rewards per each battle are quite random.
I actually got better rewards for loosing than from a draw on a few occassions.
