Myself, I had my hair dyed purple for some time but returned to dying it red/copper.

I remember seeing ... where was it... somewhere on FB I think - they developed new type of dyes (green blue, pink.. you know the anime dyes) that dont look like neon catastrophe on your head.
They have much more subtle colors and the coloring is more of a shade rather than straight on color. And it shouldnt damage the hair as much as those neon bleaches usually do.
No idea what it was called, but it looked very nice actually, and much more closer to be the natureal "anime hair" look

I think dat was Canada w/ the hair color weird rule imo
