Thread: Voluntary ads

This is just something that I was thinking about but I'm not sure if it would be doable or even liked by the players. Some games I have played have voluntary ads you can watch to give you some reward.
There are a few incentives they could give for it. Kobans, temp drop rate increase, an affection item are a few. It would be a way for players to be able to support them and for them to make a little extra money.

I'd like to hear what other people think. Would you watch an ad if it got you something a little useful? Do you think it would be able to work?

I wouldn't be averse to such a thing. The biggest issue I could see is that, given the nature of a game like Harem Heroes, finding potential advertisers could be rather difficult. Another issue could (and probably would be) being sent to third party sites that can contain various malware/spyware/viruses.

I could see how finding advertisers that are willing to work with hentai sites but aren't scammers might be challenging but I'm sure I have seen it before.

On this sort of matter, Harem Heroes has to stick to their contract with Nutaku. They are not free handed.

They have much more flexibility on Hentai Heroes (same game by same studio but not on Nutaku) and practice some cross-advertising with other games ("gain X kobans if you try out this game").
