    Time change

Why the sudden change of turnover time? 4A-7A really puts US at a disadvantage. This is really disappointing, and just when I was starting to like this game, enough to spend money on it. Now I am not so sure.

    Anyone else frustrated with this?

Agreed. If anything let players pick their own time.

By that logic, the US has had an advantage for years. Maybe it's time to let someone else enjoy this small benefit and not be frustrated?

Thank you for your comment, Franka. Perhaps you are correct; however, I only found the game a month ago, and thus have not had the advantage for long. And I agree wholeheartedly, Franka - no one should be frustrated by an advantage in another region.

Therefore, would you agree the ITC boundary might make a better choice?

Of course then the people in Hawaii might complain, but life is so good there anyway the rest of US do not really care what they say anyway. Ha! Kidding, o Hawaiins, we do love you too. My point was more in that it seems no matter where they set the time for turnover, someone could be at a disadvantage, and make the game unfair for them. Even if they live in a time zone which seems to give them a clear upper hand, perhaps their sleep-schedule and such prevents them from checking in shortly before turnover time.

So, what about the previous suggestion - pick our own time? I mean, there could be 3 or 4 different turnover times, and everyone would only be in contests and leagues with others who chose the same time for turnover. Seems that could work, without too much trouble for the devs. Are they even reading this?

Players should pick a east or west and have timezones set like that for life, or maybe one change free like they do for the username

I really don't want to read any of the HH Mail or discord chat to find out why they did it...
but time change used to happen at Grenwich Mean time of midnight, and now it has moved 12 hours to GMT +/- 12?
Sounds like someone in eastern Canada got tired of staying late to do updates, and decided they would be better of doing them at the beginning of their day, to monitor for problems.
As for "choose your own time"... it only matters for your arena/pvp/contests rankings, to prevent someone from popping up at the last minute, and pushing you down while you're asleep? In that case, they would need to implement different timezone leagues- it really sounds like too much work unless that is their major Pay2win cash cow....

Agreed, but I seem to recall stumbling upon something like, "easier to roll out updates" or some such, which could align with your further comments, but
still not sure why you suggested eastern Canada instead of Japan.

Or, they wanted updates to occur early AM in Japan. Regardless of the devs (wherever they may be) desired time change, as a coder myself, should the updates roll out auto anyway? If you are concerned about bugs being announced immediately - well, get it right the first time. Yet bugs creep in anyway, so let your customers (i.e. "us") rest assured you will fix all exposed bugs ASAP. We are all human, people - none of us are perfect.

    Question?:
How many Computer Scientists does it take to screw in a light bulb?

    Answer:
Computer Scientists do not screw in light bulbs - that is a hardware problem.

Yup, that is where it only matters. Small rewards, but multiply that by the amount of players in that timezone... Not just complaining for myself, but every other player in my zone (GMT+8???) and those nearby. If "they" (you elusive devs) could just move it another 5 or 6 hours forward - the Hawaiians would have to get up at ~6AM to check in, but dawn is shark time anyway, and a potentially bad time to go surfing anyway. O, you lucky Hawaiians!! Just to live there...

And while I may not have thought through all of the implications, still do not believe it would be TOO much work to implement multiple turnover times. Some, sure - much, NO!
