-45% Def and -25% Dark Resist is the same thing as -50% Def, though. Supposedly debuffs will land better with -25% Dark Resist, but that's it.

So at most the benefit is that SSR Amon + Samael hits the Def cap by themselves, but then you're basically halving the usefulness of Sniper Shot, which doesn't quite seem to be a benefit.
