if u have Kirin, i'd build a thunder team over a sol team. take advantage of miracle ticket now and grab Raiko.

but Thunder is absolutely not for FTP players

Seemingly completely out of nowhere update (unless DMM did something similar).

Dear Gamers,

A new currency [Star Coin] will soon be replacing Nutaku Gold as Kamihime Project's paid currency.
Star Coins will be available after maintenance ends on April 1st.

◆What are 'Star Coins'?
Star Coins are a new in-game currency spefic to Kamihime Project which can be used to purchase paid content.
Contents which until now were purchased with Nutaku Gold will henceforth be purchasable with Star Coins.
Star Coins can be purchased for Nutaku Gold via the 'Buy Star Coins' page in the Shop.

◆Changes
-Star Coin Shop Added
-Nutaku Gold Shop Closing
-Ability to draw from the Premium Gacha or buy Shop items with Star Coins added.
-Ability to draw from the Premium Gacha or buy Shop items with Nutaku Gold removed.
*All changes will be implimented after maintenance ends on April 1st.

◆What can be bought with Star Coins:
-Various Gachas (Those that have been drawn using Nutaku Gold until now)
-Elixirs
-Energy Leaves
-Weapon Inventory Expansion (+10)
-Eidolon Inventory Expansion (+10)
-Accessory Inventory Expansion (+10)

Honestly can't seem to figure out why they would do this. Don't want players to use nutaku gold on this game and use leftover on other games?

Well hopefully the exchange rates are the exact same or better.

The first notion that comes to mind is that the more you abstract the concept of paying money for gameplay incentives, the more willing younger players (18-25) might be to spend. You can read more on this monetization paradigm here. Supposedly such strategies don't work as well once the prefrontal cortex finishes developing.

Funny enough, we're late on that. DMM implemented kamihime coins to replace the usage of DMM points (like these star coins replacing the usage of Nutaku gold) on February 28 last year, which is about 11 months after their launch. This is what, 13.5 months after ours?

Did this have any major impacts like increase cost or basically no difference in the end other than doing one more transaction?

It looks like the prices stayed the same, so it's just that extra transaction.
