Get the 3k from Tiamat's event; don't spend them

If they're your best options in a given situation, go ahead. There is no advantage or disadvantage specifically for equipping duplicates. Essentially, the name doesn't matter. Just make your decision based on what would impact your gameplay; stats, skills/effects, passives, type/element.

And in the event that Jewels fail, you should know your chances with your wallet. Kitty's "easy" comment might've given you a skewed perception of your chances otherwise.
