There was also a light staff from the the phantom UE once so there should be 3 of those now too. So give Magic one point for that, but not for the rest.

Correct; 1st reprint didn't reset the shop. Shop resetting didn't occur until Ixion's 2nd reprint. The easy way to remember is that Illuyanka's event marked the gigantic beneficial changes to advents.

Also, the starting exchange rates (that is, before the original run of Ixion) sucked. And the 1st Apocalypse/Phoenix reprint still used the original rates.
Also, another thing that made it trickier was that when that 1st reprint happened, 2nd reprints had not started on DMM. So semi-casual players like me didn't have the foresight to focus on the weapon first. I split my farming efforts between weapons and eidolons, so I didn't max anything. That ended up being bad decision making xP

Similar kind of applies to the Garuda/Typhon 1st reprint. That was held on Nutaku way too early, back when they were rearranging reprints to push us into being ~1 year behind DMM. IIRC, that was roughly early-mid August last year. Exchange rates weren't quite as bad, as I think that used the Ixion exchange rates? But as far as foresight goes, this was after Ixion's 2nd reprint and before Phoenix's 2nd reprint. I don't think FLB was implemented just yet? Given that situation, I think the foresight would've been to finish up weapons so that later you can pick up a 2nd copy. But you wouldn't know of them getting FLB yet. Personally, I'm more bitter about the timing of that reprint. I couldn't max Garuda/Typhon weapons simply due to not having the RL time too, as I was on a trip to Japan then.
