Jesus christ, never thought I'd see the day I'd ever feel sorry for Magic. Apparently being a total dick is worth 3 days while being wrong is a permaban offense. Lmao, what a joke.

I think this move was done from different angle: what will be better for forums, banning person which is notoriously wrong and is rage trigger for some people, or banning raging people ? Now the question is, whether same situation will happen again with person X instead of Magic.
Was this decision questionable ? In my opinion yes.
Was it wrong ? Only time will show.

I think it was more that it became obvious someone had to go to restore normalcy. One of the two biggest offenders went from just normal internet arguing to insinuating a threat of physical violence, making the decision of who quite easy.

Not gonna defend Magic here, but it was actually Slashley, that for last few week just waited for chance to say "go away" to Magic, just in more... hostile words. I just hope it won't happen again, because setting aside Magic's mistakes and attitude, IMO the way Slashley acted was inexcusable in civilized quarrel.

welp, as bad as slashley acted, he's still a regular here and a big poster so i don't think a perma ban would be right for either of them. but spice already quit the forum once and decided to come back like he was running back into a burning building, knowing he'll most likely be attacked for giving bad advice and info again.
it was inevitable from his return, and i'm sure the admins would rather ban someone who is less active, even if he is somewhat innocent... slashley got banned for 3 days, that's better than nothing and hopefully there won't be any more drama.
hate to admit i feel bad for spice, but i understand somewhat where slashleys coming from since both of them play the game completely differently kek (((also lmao @ how magicspice got accused of death threats))))

um anyway the drama is over. happy new year???????

I'm the Unregistered who earlier on pointed out Slashley's early mistakes. I never thought I'd see the day when perma-banning someone who's been picked on by a number of people could be considered not a morally 'wrong' decision. IMO, neither Slashley nor Magic should have been banned. Those posters who egged Slashley on are ultimately as guilty as anyone else.

That said, I can't agree with the way the administrators handled the situation. They claim to want to reduce the drama but they do this by banning users in an attempt to crack down on dissent, ultimately leading to more 'drama' and unease. To me this smacks of authoritarianism and favoritism. Not to mention the decision on how long to ban seems completely arbitrary and unjustified. IMO, the right thing to do would be to unban both of them immediately and to remind everyone to be civil to one another, like mature adults.

In a perfect situation where everyone follows exactly what you think they would... yeah. That would work.

You’re however kind of forgetting the fact that humans are behind both accounts. Slashley’s not exactly gonna settle his beef with magicspice just because, and spice isn’t gonna forgive everyone just because, the guy’s already been banned so simply asking them to be civil is... lemme sugarcoat this, then add some milk chocolate, and then some high fructose corn syrup... completely pointless.

The context of this is that magicspice is actually what voodoo has said he was. The reactions to his comments may be strong, but if you’re looking at nothing but that argument, of course it’s in spice’s favour. This guy has months of history playing out exactly how we described, and unlike irl, where you can run the fuck away from him, because this is the internet, and the guy just refuses to stop his actions even though a sizeable vocal majority (in this case, I care not for the absolute majority. You don’t exist in a forum unless you actually talk) has openly told him to change, whether in a hard or soft approach.

Banning him is for the good of this forum even though it doesn’t send a good message on the administration.
