The latter part exactly. Sometimes, RNG deals you a hand that you just makes you "have" to main it. Like, if you pull Svarog/Uriel with Belial/Amaterasu. What's even the point of building on other teams at that point?
I mean, eventually, yes. Once you've done everything you can for your main element, go ahead and put others into shape. But chances are for pure F2P, those teams will never match your "main" element. It will just be better to off-element with your main, really.
... until that one day when you pull something like Lugh and Tish and Metatron all in one go. Then you just swap your main. For pure F2P, that's just crapshoot, now isn't it? I mean, you're going to get what you happen to get. There's no clear rule there.
For this particular case, using any R Hime - even "premium" ones (outside of Gem gacha) - is fine by my books. I mean, Rs are wayyy weaker than SRs, and we can kinda expect pure F2P to have SOME kind of full SR teams at this point, right? Depending on how they've been playing...?
I don't know why I'm even trying to define some kind of rules for F2P, considering how far I am from one at this point.
