Since the Dark event is coming up tomorrow, I bet a lot of people are focusing on light. Not sure about Dark. I'm not sure if there are a lot of people who consider Dark/Light to be best from what I've seen, but I know they have a small advantage over the basic elements, and a large one over one another.

I think if you can, consistency in one element is probably better than anything in the long run.

I think for now, a mix of elements is perfectly fine so long as you're just working toward increasing the strength of your teams (Weps, Eidolons, Breaks).

I see. But isn't that like two edged sword? Sure you will hit that dark event harder but you will also get hit harder by it, right? So in the end is it worth it?

It could be. I'm not particularly sure how this event will work, but if there are raid-like components, getting MVP spots might make a big difference. I also recall reading that in some of the high level battles of the game, there are damage checks (hopefully I'm remembering that right haha).

That all being said, every element has a weakness, so it may be better to try and main an element that is also strong against what it's weakness is. If, for instance, you put a lot of effort into a fire team, and a water event comes up, you're worse off than say a dark vs light matchup.

If it's copying Granblue's system, then the player playing Light will deal more damage to Dark enemies and also receive LESS damage from Dark attacks and vice-versa. It's what makes Light/Dark very good in that game since they have no elemental weakness on the player's side while having an advantage over each other.
