The condition to unlock expert is to summon and defeat a standard RB of the respective element. If you only summon it, but it doesn't get defeated (or your party dies and you decide to leave instead of staying on until it gets killed) it does not clear.

So I need to beat it itself? Kind of hard when most people join in and insta-kill or nuke it ^-^;
