Wicked Emperor of the Abyss: An Overview of the first Raid Event

The first Raid Event is similar to the Disaster Raids, with a chance to get SSR drops directly from Expert raids and above. These event battles also drop a specific event token and event Gatcha tickets which can net you a wide range of goodies. Accrue a fixed amount of a specific event token and you unlock a completion prize; accrue more to reach the next tier and unlock the next prize. Normal and Expert difficulty fights have two 'color' options which give slightly different rewards, both for prizes and in the Gatcha. In this event, Red group battles lead to two SSR eidolon (water) prizes, with the SSR weapon (thunder hammer) as a Gatcha reward. Meanwhile Blue group battles lead to two SSR weapon prizes, with the eidolon as a Gatcha reward. The Blue group battles in this event are considered to be more difficult. Ideally, you want to farm one color for the guaranteed token SSRs, and then farm the other color for Gatcha chances at additional copies of the same SSR for LB. Both Gatchas can also drop merit points, which unlock an additional set of prizes at fixed tiers of points. This event also introduces a Ragnarok difficulty raid boss, which spawns randomly and drops a large amount of tokens and tickets.

In all, you can get 2 of each SSR from color token prizes and 1 from merit point prizes, and you'll need to pick up the remaining copies from the corresponding color Gatcha or directly from Expert or higher boss drops. The weapon for an SR kamihime (wind) is also featured as a color prize, a merit point prize, and as a Gatcha reward, and is relatively easier to pick up than any of the SSR rewards. The eidolon grants the much sought-after attack down debuff (10%), and should be useful to all players. One year later, a Raid Event has not been renewed in the JP version, so plan accordingly. Do note that completing a LB relies significantly on luck in this event; there doesn't appear to be a way to directly farm all the copies you'll need, even for the SR weapons.

You can find a full explanation in the JP wiki. I wrote this up quickly in response to a user question, so I'll revise and update it when I have some time.
