    Party advice (water)

I have a pretty decent water team, but recently been feeling like I should be swapping someone out for someone in my sub pool but can't decide if it's worth it or not or if I should use the water gacha to try for Cthulu or Ea or something. Anyway current main team is Arthur, Belphegor, Aphrodite, Nike, and Ryu-Oh. Currently sitting on sub are kikuri-hime and nodens. Adding nodens would be nice for HOT but don't see that being beneficial overall, but Kikuri-Hime is what's been bugging me. Belphegor is super nice due to her rage-down skill and atk/def up/down and for being able to extend stun duration so don't see myself tossing her for kikuri-hime, but at the same time want nike + kikuri-hime for perma def-up, which would mean tossing belphy. I've been thinking of swapping nike for kikuri-hime as the 750 heal isn't that useful when I already have aphrodite and I feel like the burst-up would be nice, but not really sure if that's worth it.

Obviously somewhat situational and I need to work on my eidolons and weapons a lot still so not a big thing atm, but was wondering what other people thought. The only other note-worthy water kamihime I have is oto-hime for her fire null ability, but don't think that warrants a primary spot. Also once I get mordred (still a ways away only have 130 SP) do you think it would be worth using Mordred + Ryu-Oh as they both add a turn for special attack or w/e that's called?

Do you understand the probability of getting what you want?

Yea I know it's super low, but even if I get something that I already have could mean potentially stronger weapons or something. Most likely not worth it, but was thinking might test the waters with the water boosted gacha just to see

Do you know just how low "super low" is?

Mordred and Ryu-Oh overlap a bit, but Mordred's massive swarm of debuffs is nice, and the increased chance of applying debuffs is great too. Is it worth running Mordred for that though... hard to say. You have pretty much all bases covered already (assuming you run Ambush, -50% Def and -32%ish Atk, lots of Heals), so your Soul is fairly free.

Why are you throwing money at a "test" when the result is easily modeled? Would you buy a random item on Amazon for $30 without even knowing what item you're buying? Would you repeat this 50x until you stumble on what you want?

  6. water advice huh? not an expert, but i can share some thoughts.

well, u already have a-slot debuffs covered with ryu-oh and OD extension which will make mordred seem less worth it, unless u were also goin to be usin her on varies different teams. belphy and aphrodite are pretty good as well. b-slot debuffs 12%, rage reducer from belphy n heals plus cleanse from aphrodite.

so if u were to replace someone, it should probably be nike as her heals are meh at most. i'd probably take her out for kukuri-hime because u can still keep ur def buff and had a skill that gives 15 flat burst which can be pretty nice thou it has a 8 turn cd. or u know if u end up lucking out and gettin ea or cthulu. (side note i personally never got any hime that was advertised as having a higher chance at gettin them.)

Basically in case u didn't get all that or read it. If u were swapping out one of ur team, it would be nike. (nodens for extra cleanse n kukuri-hime for 15 flat burst increase every 8turns. As for mordred, think about gettin her if u plan on using her on other teams. but if ur only goin to be usin ur water team for a while think about tryin to get d'art for snipe shot if u don't already have her. obviously the final decision is up to u.

at least that's what i think. i hope this helps.

Your water team is already very competent with Ryu-oh and Aphrodite. Other water SSRs are still helpful, but not very necessary, and some nice ones are not available yet. So better invest on other elements, particularly wind, to cover water's weakness.

As SR, Belphegor and Kikuri-hime are quite good. With Aphrodite in the party, you won't miss Nike too much.

BTW, if following DMM version's schedule, the pick-up multiplier shall be substantially increased, from 3x to 15x IIRC. The chance of getting a particular KH is still low ofc.

They both dont stack, so Modred is not going to help you out a lot in a team with Ryuu-Oh

Also as highlighted by everyone already, understand that the odds are pretty low to get the SSR hime you wanted. As for weapons, I think sana has a damage calculator spreadsheet to give you a pretty good idea what you could be doing with certain weapon setup (weapon skill level, etc etc etc)

Also consider getting Nike off replace her with Kikuri, get Andromeda. If you opted for Noden, then consider getting Jeanne

Figured asking here made more sense than posting a new thread - looking for tips on what Soul to use for my updated water party. My current party is Sarasvati, Aphrodite, Ryu-oh, and Atalanta. I have no problems swapping Atalanta out for someone else, but with her in I get effectively perma 3 def debuffs which I'm loving. I've currently been using Mordred (haven't decided on an extra ability yet) but could easily swap to almost any soul and just make sniper shot my extra ability to keep the 3 def downs. My initial thought is Mordred, Hercules, or Arthur for soul, but not sure which is really optimal.

I've also kinda been going back and forth on swapping out Aphrodite for an SR kami and using Andromeda as my soul simply because she has no offensive abilities and kinda weak damage for an SSR, but I would have to crunch number to see who if any SR would actually make sense to replace her. As always any/all advice is appreciated. Thank you!

If you need a healer, keep Aphrodite in your party.

For your Soul, probably Mordred with Sniper Shot. Since you have a lot of debuffs, having access to debuff- is really good. At least until Hercules' Relic weapon, that is.

If you're going to swap anyone out, it'd be Saraswati. But since you don't really have anyone to swap instead of her, I don't really see the point. Belphegor for some content maybe, but at least nothing so far would need Belphegor to cut those Rage phases.
