SR weapons are a dime a dozen, and you'll get a ton from raid events. The ones you really need will probably come from farming Disasters and joining Raids. The Catastrophes in particular seem to have a high drop rate. I'll probably be running 1-3 Wind Catastrophes a day for a week or two during Burst hour. Friend me (userid 95789) and you can scavenge the kills and maybe land yourself some Wind Assault SRs.

SSR event eidolon copies are nice for new players. They provide a big stat boost over other options. Their excellence as judged by veteran players is irrelevant; you're not farming them to keep forever, you're farming them to fill your grid and climb the progression ladder (to Experts and beyond). That said, no need to burn all your consumables to get 1-2 additional copies; you'll have a chance to farm new eidolons every 2 weeks or so. *DO* spend your consumables to farm SR assault weapons and SSR weapons for your primary element, however. Occasionally an SSR event eidolon will pop up that's a must-have due to a summon ability (e.g., Yatagarasu).
