Maribel only catches up in Defense DURING SKILL WHILE AW'd. HOWEVER, due to her large HP advantage, and the fact she kills stuff faster, plus faster skill timer and longer duration, her durability becomes superior at late CC levels without REQUIRING AW to be superior in durability.

The entire discussion arises from the fact she needs skill to be clearly superior in durability to a unit two rarity tiers lower than her (though with skill she is about 100 defense under Deine with her AW buff included but with about 600 less HP; cheaper though). We're not saying Leanne is a godly tank because she simply isn't. She IS a good tank for her cost and rarity. Clear?

Indeed. And having Bernice(AW) and Leannee(max) (and Bernard(max)) and Shizuka(AW) makes having maribel and needing to AW her obsolete. If one has no AW Samurai Maribel can fill that hole, but either i want to just tank something(Bernice) or i want to have a beefy blocker that kills stuff(Shizuka). If i want a cheap Tank leannee does the job just nearly as well as maribel and not so risky without skill.

To be fair, most maps are not really risky with Maribel. A lot of the time the stronger enemies come in waves so you can just use her skill, kill the dangerous wave, wait for her skill to be up again and then use it on the next dangerous wave. I did this a lot in the past. Heck i used to have Maribel + Bernice and not even level Leanne. Maribel filled in any hole i ever needed an offtank for while Bernice held off the main area. Nowadays that's Deine + Bernice though.

I have both Bernice and Gellius so I have no real need for Maribel, in saying that I am still aiming to get her perfected and maxed lvl just not Awakened. She is a nice looking unit a nice addition to my hare......I mean army.

In all honesty I do have a great main team but like to use some of my other units from time to time doing other weaker maps or if I am finding I want a challenge on harder maps that my better units can clear I will indeed be using her, not that she is a bad unit just as many have said above why would you use her over some of the more powerful heavies which I have 2 off.

12 copies combined and still stuck at 2 cr and 4/5 skill. Really? That desire sensor sure is strong.

lol. But seeing as how powerful its mind reading abilities are, wouldn't that just amplify the effects?

Thank you. This was my point exactly. In reference to some only having Leanne, I happen to be in that boat along with having Garrett whom I quite dislike.

I just wish I had better luck with shrine summoning to have someone like Deine or Bernice, or maybe even a gold rush like in the DMM version to help in upgrading from silvers. But little steps at a time, for now I'll simply focus on getting everything I have to top form and worry about advancement in units later.

Dunno, It might work because I managed to mincost/maxskill my maribel. I just hope reducing it's cost while it isn't CC'd won't come and bite me back. Because I've only reduced the UP cost of my units in their CC'd form so far. I don't know if its okay or not.

So supposedly my Maribel will only cost me 20 UP once she's awakened because I brought her cost down to 16 while she's in base form.

And I just min-costed and max SU'd her on my alt with 6 combines.
