Yeah, basically anything Gellius can tank that Deine can't is something you probably shouldn't be tanking in the first place, so it comes down to cost vs. damage. Deine costs way more but can lay out some serious hurt while Gellius' damage output is pitiful and so he REQUIRES ranged support to block (because anything above goblin will take long enough to die something else might slip by). I have both, I generally use Gellius and not Deine but that's more because my ranged damage is OP (Despara, Minerva, Aisha, Nanaly, Farne, Sasha, Garania, Spica and Adele all AW). If it's a map with limited range spots, I might bust out Deine instead and eat the extra cost so I don't need to worry so much about providing cover fire.

@Sora: I'm sorry, the translation is horrible, but is it saying Skill AW triples her attack AND doubles her defense, while hitting AoE around her, at the cost of attack speed? If so, then she would regain superiority as supreme tank lol.

That is correct, and the reason i've defended Deine earlier :P

She has more physical EHP now than Gellius.

Not that gellius is actualy realy "worse" then deine even after saw. They pretty much gave her an existence reasoning over gellius. At least hes a lot more likely to be pulled from shrine then she is :|

Doesn't bother me if she is better than Gellius now I still need a male powerhouse. But you would hope in getting a black unit that they would be better than their platinum brothers/sisters. Still I don't have Deine so Gellius will do me just fine though my AW bernice seems to be handling most situations ok. In the process of AW Gellius though.

anyway the def buff wasn't actually because of gellius, but i bet you guys wouldn't believe me.

If I had to guess, Deine gained defense multiplier on skill because of other black heavy, who is also attack-oriented, even more than Deine is. So, buff was to set them apart and finally fill the niche of actually defensive black heavy that was empty before.

Idol wars z got pretty pay2win nowadays and not offering freemiums like me premium girls like aigis and fkg do, so in order to leave that game, i tried to reroll for 2nd account with a black for 3 days. Today that %3 chance occured at last and got mikoto, then started farming that account. All other summons were full crap, then i did last summon before bed...
