I thought Oni or cyclop were the same as those "yokai" for some reason

If by Oni you mean this ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oni ) then yes as they are a type of Youkai. We frequently see them in the Eastern Nation style maps.

If by Oni you mean the things we fight during Shio's event than no as those are Cyclopses and are not considered youkai. The fact that they are called Oni here really annoys me, I mean they called them Cyclopses during Paula's event!

Also as a helpful hint, youkai are also called mononoke in the English Aigis wiki. Take a look at it when you can, if an enemy is listed there then it is a Youkai and they are affected by Nagi's skill.

they had horn or horns on their head like those guys in Yu Yu Hakusho - I was a bit confused @first

didn't know Paula's event called them cyclopes lol I don't remember or pay attention to in game dialogue

Aha, that explains a lot actually, thank you for the information! I do find it funny how only a few comments lower Shio is now seen as an airhead especially given her dialog. On a related note, why not have this be he basis for the story? It seems that earlier events are lacking in those sort of thing especially with Belinda's and Odette's stories.

No problem at all, if anything I may have come off a bit rude in my explanation. Also I am not sure when we will get them, but on DMM there is a monster hunter class that deals extra damage to certain types of enemies like goblins, youkai, and even orcs. The orc and youkai are events so we may have to wait a bit. Just keep Bashira close to you. There is a chance they might get one for cyclopses as well since they seem not only popular but with a great deal a variation.
