most likely because her skill is increase range and aside from the few maps where increase range is almost a necessity (e.g. war of magic), most of the time you'll be using witches to do single target magic dmg at a somewhat low cost (lower than mage at least), so skills with increase dmg is somewhat better

Yes, Eden is the reward of around the 40th event. (12th now in the En version)

Honestly I have updated this in a bit, but need to. For clarification it is Gellius > Deine > Deina.

Gellius is the best at actually tanking. Which is their job. Both Deina and Deine have offensive skills.

Deina either gives you a flat 100%(1016) increase in damage and allows her to attack at range (200). While her HP is 4069 and her Def is 663. Though she has the ability to essentially paralyze a target 25% of the time. Though if you luck sucks... well...

Deine on the other hand gives you a flat 250%(1841) increase in damage and allows her to deal AoE damage. So she clears out what she is tanky faster. As to Deine who will attack whatever is closer to the exit. While Deine may have lower HP at 3894 she has much higher Def at 861.

That is why they are like that.

Part of it again is that if you need a HA for the sake of tanking, Gellius is the best. No questions.

After CC his skill becomes Increase Defense IV, which at max skill lv has a x2 multiplier to defense. Which means in combination with a trust bonus that favors hp with some defense boosting, he is one hell of a beefy tank.

And then there is awakening.

Oh sweet caramel sauce awakened Gellius.

In addition to gaining 10 MR after awakening, his awakened skill gives a x3 multiplier to his defense and that new MR he has. Whats more his block count goes up to 5 for the duration of the skill, meaning Gellius more or less is the best damn HA you can get and can outshine black units in terms of being, well, a tank.

I didn't think this question really merits its own thread, but how generically useful do you guys find an Awakened Monica relative to other ranged units in general and not just pirates? I acquired her thanks to the current spotlight but rather suspect that I'll mostly value her passive given that I already have Spica, Bashira and Elizabeth.

Actually really good. Her awakened skill gives her a ton of attack speed. So much so that with a dancer she will shred just about anything in the game. Add in an enchant if you are lucky enough to get her or an alchemist and tank. That is pretty much it.
