The event maps are the means to get AND use new units.

For example, I had no trouble integrating Shiho into my party during Solano's event by leveling her during her event and CC'ing her by the time Len's event rolled around. I didn't even use plat fairies to combine my Shihos, I just used the SCs I got from her maps to keep farming copies of her. And Len was obviously a low-priority event unit, so I stopped after a certain milestone and used the rest of my charisma/stamina on the usual.

Likewise for Solano with Ada's event and onwards. I didn't bust my ass to bring her up to speed. It happened naturally from the downtime DURING events.

Even now, with Azami being the lackluster unit she is, I'm using this time to farm Harissas for future CC/AW purposes. I can't do that on a break. I even get the chance to get more exp armors and DCs on the side. Other event maps drop a few affection items here and there as well. So I still get a nice mix of drops without having to sacrifice a week of doing nothing but farming.

Which leads us right back to the "take a break DURING events" argument that you kept ignoring last time and apparently this time as well.

You claim to find events boring, but you can't tell me you use new units in your Phalanx 2 runs or dailies. You likely have afk strategies for them already. And I'm sure you do commissions as well.

Breaks are nothing but afk weeks. Events are what you use to experiment your new units on. If you can't find the time to prioritize and level the event units that are actually useful, that's your fault. And you only drag down the game by constantly clamoring for more breaks.
