For weapons, I guess I need to get to 4-6 and get Palm Fans which I can then trade for Originals or are Himetsuru Swords better so I should just wait for them? (Maybe I can't get to 5-3 unless I have better equipment first).
FYI - I'm currently using Original Mumei swords and a mix of Original Western Armor and Original Bearhead Helmets.

I wouldn't know shit about Zen Flutes or Wind Armors and other some such weapons, but since you're still using Mumei swords and Western armor and Han books atm, why not upgrade them to Legendary from the trade port so you can get a little boost for them.
