There are only four weapons in the game that I regard as being worth considering: Water Gun, Kaneko Sword (P), Takenomata Kaneko, and Cursed Nameless Sword. And Takenomata Kaneko is just that you'd like to have one to shut down enemy recharge against certain opponents, especially the last opponent on the second map on some days of world bosses. Unfortunately for you, the Cursed Nameless Sword is endgame farming (6-3 and 6-4, though you'd rather do 6-4). while the others are event-only.
For armors, I have 4x Golden Armor (drops in 5-3, I think), which is good for PVE, but less so for PVP where you expect some of your generals to die. I also use Cursed Nameless Armor (endgame farming of cursed shards), Original Nioh's Armor (third convoy on second map of world bosses), Ultimate Western Armor (event only) and Original God of Wind Armor. I also have a couple of Original Bearhead Armor that I want to replace; I'm planning on picking up a couple of Eboshi of Matsutaira from the current event, as well as eventually getting a couple more Cursed Nameless Armors.
For accessories, I rely heavily on 3x Zhan Guo Ce (drops in 5-4). I also have 2x Hatazirushi (event only), which you'd really like to have for the team-wide buffs. Beyond that, I use 2x Demon Hair Band (event only), 2x Original Zuo Zhuan (world boss), and a Luis' Traveler Diary (event only). That last one is bugged, as the tooltip says that it gives you +20 leadership, but it doesn't. I wouldn't have gotten it if I had known that it was bugged.
The Original God of Wind Armor is something that I use in PVE to reorder my generals attacking. I equip it on Master Strategist so that she attacks ahead of some other generals, which in some cases, means that battles go faster because it waits for fewer generals to attack because all of the enemies are dead.
The era of high speed being critical in PVP has come and gone. Even if you were going for a high speed build, stacking Koyo Gunkan and Water Gun buffs is the way to get it, with Original God of Wind Armor not helping much. If I build for speed, I can have my entire team have a speed rating of about 418 or better. An extra 15 from Original God of Wind Armor isn't going to make much of a dent in that. For PVE purposes, a mere 200 speed is enough for first strike against just about everything, with a handful of opponents near the end of 6-3 and 6-4 as the only exceptions.
The current optimal PVP builds rely on tons of reflect damage so that your opponent's high damage generals die of reflect damage. If you're on my server, watch me destroy Kui today in the quarterfinals for how things used to go in PVP, and then lose to Magy in the semis for how that fares against reflect-heavy lineups. And that's even after I've pulled Tiger of Kai and Sanada Yukitaka off of my PVP team.
