It's so much like the argument in the late 90s and early 2000s in the US that violent video games make people commit murders or school shootings. I played Doom and most of the FPS games at the time. I also played Mortal Kombat 1, 2, and 3. (4 and beyond just got kind of... bad) So I've played a TON of violent games. Know how many people I've killed? Zero.

We have SO many REAL threats in this world, and instead we invent boogymen just to POSSIBLY arrest people that weren't going to do anything anyway. Good job, world.

I agree with you for the most part, but I think there are some kinds of porn that should be reprehensible to own by law, like real snuff and pedopornography (of course when it's not just staged acting). Even if the user don't do anything himself, he is still creating a demand, that's going to be met with an offer because that's how the world works. I don't think prison terms would be the best answer for this though, psychiatric care may be better for them. Of course, hentai on the other hand is harmless and eco-friendly. Also, most of the time the fetishes in hentai don't translate to real: I myself am into futa, but a real hermaphrodite would totally have me weirded out sooner than excited.

Oh, most definitely. I was referring only to hentai. Actual snuff porn or kiddy porn? Yeah, that's pretty awful stuff. I completely agree with everything you said above, especially about the punishment.

They won't (with no reason) but anyway, this scheme seems too complicated to just watch porn/hentai, besides, i don't know any "free internet hotspots" in my town. Emm... Dude, incognito and other bullshit is just to hide what are you browsing from noobs like your little sister/brother, your mom or your boss at work. In fact, it doesen't hide almost anything.
Google will still save your telemetry, including your ip, the geolocation of wi-fi hotspot you are connected to and, maybe, even your hardware MAC-adresses, along with your requests like "big booty brazillian goddess", so it only doesn't know if the request was sent from your personal account or not (which is totally easy to find out, comparing to the other requests with the same telemetry and later - to find out is there anyone else living with you, who could use your hardware to send that request - which is totally easy for officials too, if they'll need to find that out.
And last, but not least - sorry, but all your requests, including clicks on URLs and stuff still goes _first_ to your IPS from your router, and only then, they decode it, and send to it's next destination - wheather it is a vpn filter, google, porn website or whatever. Remember, you ALWAYS send all data that you send to the Net through your IPS, even if you use Tor or whatever - and recieve through them, too. They only get this data in a more encrypted form, if you use some extra precautions on your PC, and can't tell, if you were connected to forbidden websites or not, if you use Tor or proxies, since they only see you were sending your data to and recieving it from some VPN/Proxy/Tor node, and can't tell for sure where those nodes send it next, and what they get in return and send to you. In other way, they see you tell your VPN/Proxy/Tor to "find loli hentai" and see it gives you back something (maybe it's loli hentai, or maybe it's "sorry, nothing found" reply - they don't know for sure, unless they unencrypt the traffic you recieve from that VPN node - and they can decode it if they'll need to) In other way - noone can say you were accessing such websites, because you didn't -you only accesses Tor or whatever, and _it_ did (or did not) accesed something for you. That's how it works.
And yes, Win 10/android does the rest for them to be sure what you recieve on your end, gathering and storing the info on you on your PC and sending proofs of what you did to Microsoft/Google, who can later give it to whoever asks for it (AD companies, officials, whatever).
BTW, did you know win 7 and Win 8/8.1 (and, probably, others like Vista, too) got the same telemetry spying stuff with updates through Windows Update Service? personally i use DWS to remove that shit from my Win7 https://github.com/Nummer/Destroy-Wi...pying/releases http://dws.wzor.net/ but i'm still not sure i am 100% safe...

Too bad, but i really know what i am talking about ( It's not the first year for those laws are being pushed through in our country, and many of them are already working against us, hentai fans. Maby websites have been blocked (still could be accessed using Proxy/VPN/Tor), much content was permanently deleted (including Hentai groups on VK.com, with their own albums of hentai pics, hentai vids and forums) and few people were even sentenced by law for penalties or else (not so many yet, but it's just the beginning, and was made on purpose to show others that these laws really work and you CAN get actually sentenced for this - just like in case with media piracy or other stuff).
So ZeroZet is right - these laws are already there and working for a couple of years, but they are not as dangerous for most of the common people as they sound - yet. The fact that they are not working in a way those who pushed them through wanted them to work is why those people continue to ask for changes/adjustments in those laws, to make them work as they wanted them to, initially - and one of such changes is exactly what that news article i've posted a link for was about. Yes, it is not yet pushed through, but it, most probably, will be in a couple of weeks. There is still one line in it that (hopefully) can be removed (about storing such content privetely without distribution/advertisement, for your own personal use) but if it won't be removed from the list - even having an acchi picture with an underage anime character on your HDD could couse you serious trouble if it would be found out by officials shomehow.

But these officials still don't care at all - they just want to blindly do what they want - and most of the people are on their side, so no one cares how ridiculous their laws actually are.
I might add, though, that we do have many laws here in Russia, for most of which people don't really give a damn about (like those copyright laws for example - you should try really hard to find a legal copy of Windows, some antivirus software or Photoshop, for example, in this country - especially if you look at home PCs, and not those laptops with pre-installed OS and basic soft at the shops and office PCs - and most people still buy them and replace legal win 10 or win 8 with illegal win 7 by themselves - and before like 2000-2005 you could simply NOT find a way to purchase Windows in this country, so everyone used pirated copies regardless) but still, all these stupid laws are getting used ath their very best when someone wants to make profit from your person specifically, or when they just want to use it to show it is actually working to the public, or when you cross someone's road who actually has the power to put you in jail, etc. so you still have to beware "just in case"... That's kinda sad, but it's true, and this is how the laws work here. So i just wanted to warn everyone that might get affected so they would be informed... Just in case.
