Charybdis is a monster of the sea that creates whirlpools. When she is hungry she can eat a whole cow. Her great appetite got on Zeus' nerves and was forced to live in the sea. She was upset about this until she found out fishes were just as delicious as beef. However she did not learn to control her appetite so when she has a hankering she attacks ships and takes their food.
