Kougaiji is the child of Princess Iron Fan and the Bull Demon King, and a master of the fire-tipped spear. She is sweet to anyone she likes. She has a sharp tongue toward who she despise and plays horrible pranks to them. But She will cry like a baby when she got pranked herself. She does not get along with the Bull Demon King, Sun Wulong and Rupy. She especially hates Rupy and always calls her “Bug” On the other hand, she likes Chris very much. She has a lot of opinions about Sanzo the monk, but she still shows her respect to Sanzo.
