Hiroto has brown hair instead of black and has overall lighter color scheme unlike Doudanuki that is mostly dark, and his outfit is more exposing. Both are skilled and scarred swordsmen, but while Doudanuki is said to have a lot of scars, except on his back, Hiroto only has a few. As Doutanuki swords are meant for practicality, so is Hiroto, who values strength and ability to protect more than looks, though he still looks good regardless.
