Beginner's Guide

After the brief in-game tutorial that the game forces you to complete, here are some esoteric details that a new player should really know about this game before going forth and accidentally destroying half their progression.

Tips for editing this guide:
1. Add anything about this game that you wished you knew as a newbie. (If you thought it would have been nice to have known something earlier, it probably should be here)
2. Read your addition; the first draft is rarely the final version, review your text and use images (or tables) as visual aid where appropriate.
3. If unsure, share your addition on Discord; there's no easier way to iterate and improve this guide by gathering feedback and applying it constructively.

Player level up - Energy refill

Upon a level up, by completing any mission that costs energy (the counter of the top right) that gives player experience, the energy counter (on the top right) will increase in maximum capacity by one and refilled to full.

Energy is a scarce resource in this game, as other than paying for it with gems in the Shop, it refills once every 7 minutes.

To maximise energy refill on level up, having as little energy available before a player level up is necessary.

So keep an eye on the player experience bar (accessible from top-left of the main menu), and keep tracking of how much Player Experience is being gained per Mission will help in achieving the most out of an energy refill.

Keeping Achievement or Daily Quest rewards with Player Experience to trigger a Player Level Up when out of energy and close to a level up is also a good way to maximise this.

Unit rarity

All units has a lowest number of stars possible to players, starting from 1 star to 4 stars.

Units with Silver stars only have one skill in battle, and are meant to be fodder for upgrading units with Gold stars.

Gold starred units start from a lowest of 2 stars, up to 4 stars. Units with 4 Gold stars as their lowest possible number of stars are the hardest to come by.

Players like to use the term "natural n*" to represent the lowest number of stars a unit can have. (i.e; Lily is a natural 2*, Azalea is a natural 3*, Thalia is a natural 4*)

You can check all units available in the game in the Codex on the left of the main menu.

Unit tier up (Star up)

A unit tier in this game is the same as the number of stars they have.

To tier up a unit means to increase the number of stars that unit has.

All units can be tiered up by raising their level to the maximum, and sacrificing the same number of unit with the same number of stars to the unit being tiered up.

Stars on UnitMaximum LevelUnits needed to Tier Up
1151 star unit x1
2202 stars unit x2
3253 stars unit x3
4304 stars unit x4

The maximum number of stars a unit can have now for players is 5.

Unit skill level

All units have skills that can be leveled up by using another unit of the same type to power up.

One of the skills will be picked at random per unit used for power-up, and skills that are at maximum level will not be picked.

Tier-ups with the same unit type will also increase skill levels.

It is recommended that units with natural 3 or 4 stars be used to level up the same unit type as they are harder to come by and leveling up their skills will take a longer time.
