Campaigns follow Battles that happen in a storyline. They offer no experience, but rather a reward is given from a roulette after every battle. Experience is gained instead from experience scrolls which can be found on some of the after battle roulettes. The item gained from the roulette is not affected by what you land on, but is random (unconfirmed).

Beginning a campaign costs a ration. If you don't have enough you can't start a quest. A single ration is gained every six minutes with a maximum of 15, as seen in the upper right of the campaign screen. Standard Rations can also be gained from after battle roulettes which will increase your ration count by 10.

Battles are automatically executed based on the formation you set up pre-battle. The battle scene can be skipped to immediately display the results through the use of a Fast Battle Ticket. These are used by pressing the skip button in the red box at the top center of the battle screen. The number beside the skip button represents the number of Fast Battle Tickets the player has in their inventory.

Each battle has a possible three stars for the player to earn with corresponding rewards. Only one star can be earned in each battle, and the stars can only be earned in the order they are presented.
For example, you cannot earn a battle's second star before you earn its first. The final general appears after clearing 18 stars and the convoy appears after defeating the final general (this has been verified for some, but not all maps). Note that the Alternate History maps and Hidden maps do not always have Convoys. For example: the Prologue and Chapter 1 do not have them, while Chapter 2's Alternate History map does have one.
