This section is a collection of advice collected from the community of players. It is meant to help everyone, from the completely new to the game players, to those that have played but might not have figured out the ins and outs of this game yet.
For more questions, you may ask by messaging me, and i will research/ ask around in the Discord to answer it.

I have only started playing this game as of Nov 14, so i too am new to this game (although i have known of its existance prior to it coming to Nutaku.
Intro
Welcome to Smutstone! These are some "basic" advice I collected together about the game. Some of them might be temporarily outdated, although i doubt it becuse I dont believe i have ever heard of this game is changing or updating. I hope that all the info is accurate, and for a beginner player, every bit of it is useful. Should we find out that it is flawed, we will correct that info as soon as possible. Have fun reading and contributions that are constructive are encouraged!

General

Smutstone seems to be a game with limited interaction. You literally set your deck, push a button to start the fight, and let the auto battle commence. The stronger card will usually always win, reguardless of elemental bonuses. That means even if your whole deck is the wrong element, you can probably muscle your way to a win. The actual cards in the fight are also randomly picked from the 7 in your deck, so it has a 42% chance of being on the field.

Tips N Tricks :

Every 8 hours you can log in to get a free chest. The best you can get is a rare card, but anything free will be helpful. I dont recommend buying the other 2 chests, but if you have the gold/red gems then go for it.

Elementally, you have an advantage if you make a deck with mostly water against an enemy with mostly fire. The likely hood of your cards matching up is slim though, so stronger cards is a priority rather than a bunch of the right color.

Take most of the time early on to pick out 7 cards and max them out completely.

When you unlock duels, its recommended to go with a pattern of winning one, then losing one. The higher ranked you are, the more likely you will lose each match. at least with a win one, lose one stratigy, you can be winning cards every other. Also, after winning a match, you get a random chest and after 3 wins, you get another chest. Dont be dueling if you dont have room to hold a chest, or if your "win 3 chest" isnt ready.

You can wait 5 min to get a energy point, or you can win 3 stars of a mission on the first time. This game will make you wait for a few hours so check in, use all the energy, then go sleep to rinse and repeat.

Tip for duel: You have 7 cards in your deck. You want to obviously have all 7 be powered up as high as you can, since you cannot pick the order. You want 3 to be kamakazi attackers (they wont survive, but they will do so much damage, that they will either take out most of the enemies units, or at least weaken them enough to let your others take care of them.

Tip for 3 stars in Campaign: Since only 3 of your units get to see the fight, hp is critical in this mode. You still want to power all 7 up the best you can, but like i mentioned somewhere else on here, having 1 or 2 maxed out characters sets the win in your favor, rather than 3 units of moderate level. Again hp because its about surviving.
Priority guide :
First, like most games, you want to kind of speed past the tutorial. It is kind of helpful to get a feel of what the game is about, BUT its all linear and you probably cant lose these fights. Get to "CITY 6" as soon as possible. Dont worry about missing the story, because there is a way to rewatch it all.

Second, pick a card that you really like. Like mentioned above, the stronger card will usually win. THat means that by Leveling or seducing your favorite card, its probably gonna have a permenant spot in your deck. At this point you want to just beef up your card. Dont waste your materials or gold on any other card but that one.

THe only exceptions are these two: You want to use your gold for drawing (cost of 20k gold) or your changing your main card to something else (in that case stop wasting your stuff on that current card)

This is optional, but again, no reason to waste materials till it is at maxed level.

Step 3: Progress the story. As you progress, you will be given more different cards. I cant tell you at this time which cards are better, although when i have a recommended unit, i will mention it.

Events

No idea if there are events for this game. I hope so, because its kind of boring

Short comment : The current event "Blonde Pussy" - to be accessed over the picture in the upper left corner - offers the opportunity to gain more and exclusive cards. To get these cards you need "light energy" that you get from duels or by completing the "missions" that you can find in the event on the left side.

Glossary

This section is terms and their definitions

Ability: Some cards have a added skill that is used in battle. Some take effect at the start of your turn, and others just take effect when the card is played. From what i have read, these effect cards are rare in drop and usually come from paid for chests.

Duplicate: A additional copy of the same card. This game will keep track of how many of the same card you gather/ own. If a card is already upgraded, it will be another card of the exact stats.

Gacha: In Japan, a Gacha is toy machine into which a customer puts money, and out pops a plastic egg, inside of which appears a prize, usually a collectable toy figure, which is part of a complete set. As it pertains to these types of games, you pay for a chance to get useful things in the game. The reward you get is random, but there is a slight chance that you can get something really rare, in which case your money was well spent. See gambling

Level Up: This is a type of upgrade to a card that uses randomly dropped items to raise its level. That card will gain a bit of health and attack power. As of right now, I dont know the max level.

Prestige: Respect and admiration felt for someone or something on the basis of a perception of their achievements or quality. Similar in term to reborn or rank up. Your card will have the same level, but have a bonus amplifier giving it a advantage against the same card of a lesser prestige level

Seduce: This is a type of upgrade to a card that uses duplicates of a card to "prestige" it. That card will gain a star, change the image slightly, and gain a bonus of 100% of its original stats. That means that its benefit will be the same if you prestige it at level 1 or at level 5.

Events: its good to just hold onto your materials and coins till events happen. Alot of the events have level or seduce a certain color card. Dont waste your stuff on cards your not using in your main deck till an event

Also, in duel, thats a great way to earn cards. The thing is if you lose, you dont go back down in rank (yet). Dont waste your duel wins unless you can earn a win 3 chest. Just wait till you can have it backed down in timer

For events: SInce some event stages require certain things done, here is a list of stuff to wait for an event requirment.

DO NOT use your reward box draws. From campaign, its a purple card symbol, which gives you a free 20,000 gold chest (left one out of the three). Save this for events. I know your hard up to start leveling your cards, but you can survive without it, and unless your saving large amounts of gold (which is easy to come across, just time consuming) you should save it for when it counts

opening chest requirements only includes the ones you buy from the store (with coins, red gems, or the free one you get every 8 hours.). This is the most time consuming since you can waste the gold or just wait a to open the free one every 8 hours. Like i said above, just keep collecting gold and materials and wait it out. If your logging in every 8 hours, it just takes one 24 hour day to complete. That gold is better used on your cards anyway, since more duplicates could be detrimental if its not cards your ever gonna use. You can waste 20k on a bunch of cards you will never put into a deck, or use that gold to strengthen your already used cards in your deck. 24 hours isnt much time to waste and at the end of the time period, your ready to beat the next stage.

You should progress in the campaign as much as possible, but only after checking the event stages. If it says defeat # stage, then go ahead even if your not on that stage. It will count. If it doesnt have any visible in the next 2 or 3, just hold off a bit. When it finaly spawns, it will go for a stage not already cleared yet. Saves you time since if you progress too fast, your gonna be required to finish a harder stage, depending on how strong your deck is.

Each event corosponds to a certain element. This current one is dark units, so hold off leveling or seducing those for now, saving the stuff till its required. Also dont level them till your on that stage. Doing it while not on the stage yet doesnt count

Priorities:

given the option, always seduce the cards your using in your deck over leveling them up. The logic is that seduced gives them a larger boost for use, and uses only duplicates. Later, if your replacing a card with a stronger one, your level up materials can be used towards that card (if they are same element), and you only wasted gold, since duplicates only help seduce a card anyway. As you play over the days, you may get alot of duplicates of a single card. Materials are harder to come by, but are shared to use on any card, so they are more versitle.
