Your not so much better alternative is to wait for tower event and use 10k tower points to buy an SSR limit break set from the shop (1 for weapon and 1 for eidolon). Obviously that alternative sucks too, considering you have certain gacha SSR weapons that gain awesome abilities from 4LB, therefore your focus is likely on those.

My recommendation? Save those weapons for food when 4LB weapons are a thing, those are a real lifesaver for skill levels 21 to 30. 1LB SSR event weapons aren't worth the time due to their stats, and raid weapons ain't getting 4LBs anytime soon.
A bit correction, that orichalcum shop is introduced way later than Guild Order (aka GO) which gets introduced in August while the shop will only be available in November.. at least that's how it was at dmm, but who knows. We got an original game, after all.
