Oh shit, I missed this one, actually.

It gives more base stats (since level cap turns to level 150), a second skill (usually, or upgrades a skill) and more skill level cap. So Phoenix bow goes from 2106 Atk with 16% Assault to 2317 Atk with 21% Assault AND 15% HP. That's preeeeetty damn good.

Advent Ultimates are usually doable ~30k ATK on the main screen. Obviously character ATK, elemental ATK, and debuff access will play a large role too. Ultimates aren't THAT much harder than Expert because you have more time to build Burst gauge for the final encounter.

Honestly I would give it your best shot now and see how you do. We didn't have +100% eidolons or Soul weapons back then. It'll probably be easier for you.

Hell yeah, i beat ultimate. Farming mats should be alot faster now.

As i can see, Phoenix is one of the easiest advents (maybe second after Ixion).
Eydo unfortunately is just a cheap 750 orbs, nothing more if you have at least Amaru/Barong.

edit: yes, Kaisers and Tiamat (if needed) are the only things in shop worth picking

"cheap" 750 orbs, you mean 750 orbs less to get a new Kaiser.

What!!! Ultimate tier can drop platinum chest, got sr gear from that chest. Can we get ssr eido/gear from platinum chest?

Actually, any tier can drop platinum chest - but chance of it are so miniscule that sometimes you don't see it once during whole events.
Sometimes you may get lucky, and yes, they do drop SSR - but chance of it even more infinitesimal.

anyone wanna comment on whether there is any point to getting MLB Phoenix? or should i donate her to the Eidolon shop? (i main light)

Either you have Managarmr and need light eidolons in your sub slots
Or you're lacking a 40%+ thunder eidolon and thus Phoenix can fulfill that role until Tartarus

Although as far as potentially rolling Managarmr goes, there's no harm in holding onto a maxed Phoenix for the time being, until post... Nandi or Adou?
There's no difference between realized and unrealized 750 orbs until you've actually hit the 10k for a kaiser dragoon. Unless you're really desperate for inventory slots, but that's really hard to do with eidolons.
