Just trying to figure out if it's worth reseting stamina once or twice extra for the armors

refilling stamina? not really. you can always get plat armors off collection events. not sure why you didnt manage to do so though. still have 7 armors in present box myself, lacking fairies to use them

I got a few from the dragon event only got 400 fangs due to my units not being string enough till the last few days to clear the good maps and used all of them boosting my plat and gold units

Just did 5 runs hoping to get one but nah, not happening, terrible gold armor drops too. And I hoped to AW Katie this week... guess there is no rush in the end.
