After all, the coming event is a star rush event, which on its own takes two weeks, and then there is going to be a one week break after that before the next event. The one week break is certainly less than ideal (particularly after a star rush), but it is no three week break, and two weeks of a star rush that I can farm for silvers after clearing the maps is certainly preferable to two weeks of nothing.
